Arroyo Grande 2Bed/2Bath with garage, Includes Balcony and distant Ocean View

I totally enjoyed my stay in this warm and cozy condo, so much so that I’ve already rebooked for Feb ‘24. A friend joined me for a few days. Loved the proximity to the beach, highway, shopping. Loved being on the top floor with the gorgeous view of the distant ocean, sand dunes and even sunsets. I wholeheartedly agree with the two previous reviews from Clare W. And Tobi U. While there’s a couple comments referring to street traffic noise, my permanent home is in a quiet neighborhood but I was pretty oblivious to the traffic and there wasn’t any noise at night even w/sleeping often with the patio door cracked open. Highly recommend renting w/Francine and Terry.

Very comfortable condo; stayed 1-1/2 months; great, convenient location; private garage is a plus; bright and sunny with distant views of the ocean and sand dunes. The owners were very lovely, accommodating and helpful, but not intrusive. Quality cotton linens and towels; nicely decorated with nautical theme; kitchen fully supplied; in-condo washer/dryer, all great amenities. Highly recommended!

The owners are delightful and very quick to respond to any needs that arise. They've paid attention to detail (kitchen well stocked; comfy bed; nice linens and towels, etc.). The condo has a distant view of the ocean from kitchen & dining room windows and from the deck. The deck has a comfortable love seat, fire pit and BBQ. Oh, and there's a big garage to safely park your car with room left to store your bikes and beach gear! This condo is also very convenient to highway access and shopping ... including Trader Joes. I enjoyed my two month stay very much and hope to return in the future. (Possible negative: The condo is located on an emergency vehicle thoroughfare so sirens are pretty much a daily event. I wasn't bothered by them and I was NEVER woken up by them. They just make a "bleeping" sound when passing during evening hours but I thought it was worth mentioning in case it will bother you.)

Easy to check in. Very well equiped

The condo was decorated exquisitely and had a lot of interior design features that were impressive. The TV had both cable and a smart TV. Bathrooms were a spacious and the shower was great. Iron and ironing board provided as well as a hairdryer. It’s about a 17 minute drive to downtown San Luis Obispo. There was no ocean view. In fact, the ocean is 3.5 miles away. The balcony overlooked the dumpster and a busy street off the highway. Ants came out of the electrical sockets and kitchen walls and were coming up the shower drain. I know insects aren't uncommon in the area but they obviously knew they had an ant problem because there was ant spray under the sink. That’s not how one deals with an ant issue. You have to kill them from their source. These ants were not there for food but rather water which is why they liked the kitchen sink area. I kept all food -- including nonperishables in the fridge. It was extremely noisy because it’s next to a busy road off the highway and there was no air conditioning or oscillating or tower fan to drown out the noise so I had to buy my own fan. The refrigerator smelled off because there is mold in it. There was also mold all over the washing machine gasket. The wifi went out several times a day which made it extremely difficult to work or watch TV. There are four exterior flights of stairs (albeit shorter flights) from the garage to the unit and those steps are dangerous at the top because the gap between the last step and the final landing was much too wide to be safe and it was uneven, and when one finally gets to the top, the landing isn’t even as there is a bump in the middle. I have renovated homes and this wouldn't pass inspection. I was expecting access to the unit directly from the garage but this wasn’t the case. One has to go through a door from the garage, lock that door, then walk up exterior flights of stairs. The garage is very narrow so if you have a SUV that isn’t small, it won’t fit. I had a small SUV and the only way for me to get in was to drive in reverse using my wing mirrors and back up camera. It wasn’t easy to do because it’s on a very steep drive. There were sirens going by regularly because of the pandemic and unfortunately there was a shooting one mile from the condo while I was there. There are also a lot of vehicles revving their engines – it’s that type of neighborhood. The condo is technically in Arroyo Grande but two blocks from the town of Grover Beach and near Oceano.

Although we were close to everything and we thought the condo complex was quiet and nice too, it was on a busy street. That was the only drawback but our stay was certainly pleasant. Very attentive owners too.

I stayed here for about 8 weeks while working at a local hospital in the Central Coast, this spring. It was a great spot for a working professional. Comfortable beds, and big bathrooms. Beautifully decorated condo. Keyless entry made for easy coming and going and garage fit my mid-size SUV nicely. The kitchen was beautifully stocked with anything you could need - up to and including a wine fridge, with plenty of cupboard space for personal groceries, as well. Access to the deck from dining area and master bedroom makes for a great design. It was a cool spring, so I did not enjoy the outdoor space as much as I wanted to, but it's a pretty great space with a gas fire and twinkle lights. Conveniently located in the Central Coast, close to hiking trails and wineries. A great spot to say for anything you're looking for while visiting or living in the the area.

Great place

Very enjoyable time. The owners are extremely responsive to any problems. It was nice having a small balcony and a grill.

We had a great 3 months in the condo. Looking forward to coming out again next summer. Terry and Francine were excellent very nice people. Thank you again.

On par with luxury hotel accommodations. Beautifully remodeled and decorated. All conveniences and "equipment." This is a gem. Great location, super convenient to stores, restaurants and of course the beach. Exceptional owners as well.

We loved renting from Terry. He was very responsive with any questions we had or anything we needed. We really wished we could have stayed longer...

We enjoyed our stay at Terry and Francines condo. They were always responsive and helpful. When a smoke/CO alarm went off (unit failed) Terry came over the next day to replace it. The unit is clean, well equipped and close to beach, stores and other needs. It was perfect for us while we stayed to visit family and avoid our harsh winters. Alot to be said for having a two stall garage available too. Hope to return next spring.
