Without a doubt, this was one of the best places I have stayed! Even before we arrived the service was second to none. All my questions were answered by either the owner Dan or Wilvia - the most attentive concierge I have ever worked with. She efficiently arranged everything I requested to set up the most amazing 6 days. The Villa, pool and grounds were beautiful and spacious and the incredible staff went out of their way to attend to our every need. We are planning a trip back and will stay even longer!

Fifteen of our family of friends spent a glorious holiday at Flor de Cabrera to celebrate with us our anniversary. To a person, we loved and adored our time there. Do not hesitate to book this property if you're able. The villa and the staff are first rate. The food is delicious, well-prepared and healthy. The staff accomodated our every need. In our group, no one knew each other except my husband and me. The staff could not believe this, as by day 2 of our stay we were one delightful family having the time of our lives. The staff became a part of this family, as well. A heart-felt thank you to Wilvia, Cindy, Joanna, Elizabeth, Caesar, Adrian and the many others who looked after us each day with great care, concern and love. We miss you all already. We LOVE Flor de Cabrera and everyone there!

26 of us, ranging from 3 to 83, traveled from New England to Villa Flor de Cabrera for a week for a 50th birthday party. We spent two years planning this trip and could not have been happier with the villa, the staff, the location, the food and the attentive service. There were many factors on the website that led us to choose this location, and every one of them was surpassed by the reality. The villa and grounds were lovely; the pool was amazing and was the favorite spot and activity of most of the guests. The staff were uniformly friendly, helpful, and fun. We had several guests with severe food allergies and the chefs and kitchen staff did an excellent job making sure that their food was both safe and delicious. One of these guests commented to me that he never gets to have dessert except at home, but at Flor de Cabrera he had a specially prepared three course meal every night. There were even alternative snacks every day to ensure everybody's enjoyment. Wilvia was a joy to work with both during the preparation period and during our stay. She is engaging, knowledgeable, fun, and very accommodating. It was also a pleasure to see how she interacts with the staff members at the villa - it was very clear that every member of the staff is valued and respected, they all seem to genuinely enjoy working at the villa, which is important for its own sake but also makes for a better guest experience. Wilvia helped us organize several excellent excursions, but honestly, the villa itself was so excellent that we cancelled one excursion to spend the whole day lounging. We took advantage of babysitters close to 15 hours a day and my children loved them. If there are children in your group both you and they will be happier if you hire these amazing young ladies. Be sure to treat yourself to massages on the balcony. Treat yourself to the beach banquet as well. Also be sure to hire the guitar player to play for you during dinner. All of the adult guests agreed that the highlight of the entire trip was eating (delicious, amazing) dinners all of us together in the large foyer with Amaury playing in the background. For external excursions, we particularly enjoyed Dudu lake - the Domincan food they serve for lunch was terrific and the cenotes were great for swimming. Monkey Jungle was also an amazing experience, though you have to be prepared for a long and bumpy bus ride. We did not want our stay to end and we all can't wait to go back someday.

We just got back from Flor de Cabrera about a week ago and I'm already planning our next trip back! It was the absolute best location for our destination wedding and our 26 guests. The first glimpse of the property simply took my breath away. I had seen tons of photos and they still don't do the property justice! Wilvia arranged for transportation from the airport to the property so all 28 of us could ride together. It was the perfect start to the party! Speaking of Wilvia, her and the entire staff were absolutely exceptional. They took care of our every need from food, beverages, handling our luggage, turn down service etc. I worked closely with Wilvia to make sure the rehearsal dinner and wedding went off without a hitch. It truly was my dream wedding. My guests were not only thrilled with the property and their rooms, but the food was out of this world! I always have reservations about the food when traveling to resorts but I can say hands down, the chef at Flor de Cabrera put out some of the best food I'd ever had! Every meal was amazing and being able to sit around the long table with all of my guests each night for dinner was a real treat. If you are planning to get married here and won't be seeing the property until you arrive, do not fret! It really is perfect and Wilvia/Ruthie and the staff make the entire experience not only a breeze but also enjoyable. I could go on-and-on about our wonderful experience and wedding at Flor de Cabrera but you really do need to see it to believe it :)
