Salty Lodge

Had a fantastic stay at Salty Lodge. Nice and spacious. It was nice to sit with the door open, listening to the sea.

There was nothing bad about our stay.

Location is a dream! This is our second time staying at Salty Lodge and it was just as wonderful second time around. The bungalow is small but perfectly formed with a well-equipped kitchen, simple, stylish decor, comfortable beds & pillows with plenty of towels, including beach ones. The views from the main bedroom and living room are beautiful and the outside space is so lovely. The beach in front of the house is empty, even in the height of summer. The hosts are so wonderful - friendly and really helpful, great at communicating and live next door if you really need anything, but leave you alone! There's off-street parking and you're within walking distance of whatever you need.

A small supply of sugar, tea, coffee and milk would have been welcomed. Anyone staying at this property would need to take/buy all condiments required as there were absolutely none at the property as well as further dishwasher tablets and or washing up liquid. The property requires a thorough clean and the silicone seal along the shower screen and shower tray needs replacing as it was black with mould. Some of the wooden utensils were so damaged that they could not safely be used. Glasses and crockery had either not been washed up thoroughly or been checked when removed from the dishwasher as there were dirty glasses and bowls that had been put back in the cupboard. The bedding in the main bedroom had an awful smell - either the washing detergent was too strong or the bedding had not been dried sufficiently before putting back on the bed. This property is in a great location and has an amazing view but is badly let down by all of the above sadly and we would not recommend it to anyone.
