The house was lovely and clean and is really handy for buses out to Skegness or Mablethorpe as well as a short wander to the shops/ pub/ beach.The garden was a particular high spot and our dog loved it. We had everything we needed and didn't bother driving out to do a "big shop" as the co-op and spar are so close by.

We are 3 elderly friends. Communicatin regarding accessing property was excellent as was information regarding places to visit and dog friendly places to drink and eat. On entering the house we were all pleasantly surprised kitchen come dinner is lovely with everything required to live like home from home. Lounge is also very comfortable with a cosy homley feel. We all had a bedroom each and all slept very well. It was very good to have toilet and wash basin upstairs and a bathroom downstairs which is very nice. Little dog with us enjoyed acessing garden through doors in lounge we all enjoyed ourselves too. The only negative was having to leave sunshine cottage all 3 of us hope to return again as does little dog too. Many thanks from the 3 of us plus Pippa (dog)

We had a fantastic stay. The property is clean, warm and welcoming. Double bed was super comfy with excellent bedding. Kitchen well equipped and user friendly. The lounge is large yet has a lovely cosy vibe. Close to the village and beach. I can highly recommend the Admiral Benbow for a drink (cash only) and the Marina chippy, the best fish and chipps! The cottage was fine for a couple of nights with the grandchildren, everything is close by & an easy walk to shops & beach. The house could do with a bit of TLC and the upstairs loo seat was missing (apparently the previous guests had an accident) & it wasn't replaced during our stay but this didn't cause us a problem. Beds were comfortable & there is plenty of hot water.

A week away with family and 3 dogs. Very clean throughout and everything we needed was available. Fab enclosed garden with outdoor furniture - dogs loved it as did we. Really good location, area was lovely. Property does require some maintenance/repairs in a few areas. However, this did not affect our lovely week away and we would definitely stay here again. Also, communication with host was excellent, thank you 😊

We really enjoyed our stay at sunshine cottage good location for all Skegness activities. Good sized garden for the dog and house was spacious and clean inside. Anderby Creek beach only 10 minutes drive away with a great dog friendly beach for our dog and a dog friendly beach cafe that served nice food soft drinks and alchohol.

From booking to checking out Carl made it so easy for us. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had a lovely garden for our dogs to play and exercise. We will be staying again soon and we would highly recommend booking this property.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac this cottage is the perfect location to explore the surrounding villages and coastline. The garden is very spacious and was perfect for our dog. Overall standard of the house is very good but it does need a little bit of TLC to bring it up to excellent. Just a few minutes walk from the village centre where there are a good selection of shops and places to eat. Only criticism is that the volume on the TV has been pre set making it difficult to hear some programmes and the toilet seat upstairs does not fit correctly, however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great stay but with no seat on the upstairs toilet and a note saying one is on order is not good these days with 24hrs delivery and we saw several available in discount warehouses around the area. Also there was a large hole in the kitchen wall where a fan should have been, it did have a grate in the kitchen but otherwise was open to the strong winds that were about during our stay. This made the kitchen very cold. It would also help if there was a clear indication of what goes it what wheelie bin (as it is different to our area) separate bins inside might be an idea.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at sunshine cottage. Check in instructions slightly misleading, as they say entry by front door, but back door keys in key safe. Cottage very clean. Quirky set up, with bathroom downstairs. The place needs a re-wire, and a better heating/ hot water system upgrade. I say that as an electrician for over 40 years. Nobody has single sockets everywhere with extension leads plugged in all over. Emersion heater kept us awake, also noisy fridge/ freezer. Heating set at wrong on / off times. Anyway moan over ! We loved the cottage, great place to stay. Everything handy within a short walk. Our dog Sam , enjoyed the garden. Overall good stay.

Sunshine Cottage was perfect for a trip with our two dogs. The cottage was fresh and clean and the large garden was 100% secure. Location was great with a short walk to the beach or lovely countryside. Local shops, takeaways and dog friendly bars and restaurants plus the new North Sea Observatory made for a perfect weekend. Will definitely book again.

This was a lovely break in a lovely spacious property. Loads of room and the garden is huge. Only a short walk to the beach. My only criticism would be that it didn’t say anywhere that we would have to pay for electricity separately. Due to Covid we were asked to take our own bedding, including duvets. This was a huge problem for us as we didn’t have enough space in the car to fit three duvets / pillows in. (There was no price reduction for this either). The advert says tea/ coffee etc provided so we didn’t take any with us, but only two tea bags were provided.

After a five hour drive to the address and no reply to e mails or phone calls to the owner, we were told by Owners Direct after desperately phoning them , that the address was 1 Beach Avenue ! After 45 mins up and down beech Avenue and asking a resident we realised there wasn’t A number 1 Beach Avenue ! We contacted Owners Direct who are a London based company and they talked to us like we was stupid ! To cut a very long and heated story short the CORRECT address was 5 Tyler’s Close 😡😡😡 We were extremely desperate as we were also trying to contact the owner Carl Axon (a nice and helpful man) for address and key code to enter property. This should have been supplied before hand. Apparently he works over seas ! I recommend IF you book this lovely peaceful clean property make sure you get ALL the information and Key code weeks before your booking date ! The Owners Direct company where bloody hopeless ! Deal with the owner direct if you can reach him ? Carl was very confused about the wrong address we had been given and also confused ! It didn’t start the holiday break very well at all.The property is very nice , but the picture of the house is outdated ( blue garage door is now white) my Top two Tips is to turn OFF the heating boiler switch (in the kitchen) in the night because you won’t get any sleep due to the noise of the boiler rumbling all bloody night ! And to control the hot water by the boost dial ! Don’t rely on the hot water timer clock ! Shower is over the bath (not in a cubicle as In description, But with all the above the house is nice,local to the shops and beach’s !

When we arrived at the address given we found it be association housing and not the property we were due to stay in. We tried to call the owner but the number listed didn’t work? Eventually through the use of the internet we found what might have been the property and headed there. We found it, the other side of the estate? We were not given a code for the key safe and had no way of accessing the key? Luckily my wife guessed the code by shear luck. We eventually received a response from the owner at 8.20pm a whole 5 hours after emailing him? The house was nice, very very cold and some of the furnishings were dirty and need of a clean. It was a lovely bungalow with a good garden space. Beds were a bit creaky and the hot water was hit and miss. But saying all the above we did enjoy our stay and made it a good week. Have emailed the owner with response ? Wouldn’t let the review put you off it’s a lovely area and the property was in good order with cooking and washing facilities.

The house is exact as described with all the fittings – Very pet friendly and spotlessly clean, light, dry and even bigger than it looked in the pictures. We had a great holiday and had everything we needed - the kitchen was very well equipped with loads of pans, dishes, glasses etc. The lounge was perfect for relaxing at the end of a busy day, the sofas were very comfortable and a good size TV and had excellent internet service, which is a real bonus Everything is clean and the bed very comfortable and the linen felt fresh and new, lovely! The location is perfect, only a couple of minutes away from the beach and village centre. We especially liked Chapel Point Beach and its cafe where we had breakfast every morning before taking the dogs on the beach. Truly amazing and can't wait to go back there! Thanks again for a great time!

Very homely feel to the house. Comfortably sleeps 5 people without feeling like your all on top of each other. Lovely big garden for the dogs to run around and it is pet friendly as our dogs would find a way out. Overall a lovely holiday for all the family and we would definitely be booking again :-)

The overall impression of the cottage was good that's why I gave four stars. But here comes the problems.First of all the electricity was by key meter which did not have any electricity on it so straight away had to top up the key meter.Then had the gardener knocking on the door to clear out wood in the garage then again next door knocking on the door to water the plants.Then of Saturday of our first week come in while we were out to cut the grass (oh yes using the electric we paid for his lawn mower). Even all that decided to book another week on September 9th paid the deposit and owner confirmed my booking then three days later email to say that his wife had double booked so those dates not available anymore. Well, surprise surprise on the owner Carl Facebook page it said he is single. So where is the wife. Having all this going on while i was on a supposed relaxing holiday for myself and my 75year old mother for two weeks made a bad taste in our mouths and by Saturday night of the first week decided to leave and come home. If the gardener wants to cut the grass this can be done between the change over 10-4 There was notes in the property listing do this and dont do,s . Did not feel like a holiday more like running someone property for them. I would not book again or use Owners Direct as if there is any problems Owners Direct do not take any responsibility but charge a fee from you the traveller and a fee from the owner.So any problems have to be dealt with the owner direct. I did get my refund back for September but as i have mentioned all of this blighted our holiday. So, therefore, will not book again. And for note, the pond filter was run on the electricity that your pay for would not have minded but there were not fish in it as the gardener told us a heron had eaten them.

Lovely cottage - well equipped, very very clean, and welcoming. Beautiful, large, fully enclosed garden - very dog friendly! Very close to all amenities, but in a quiet residential area. Thank you so much for letting Mum and I stay with our dogs. Will definitely be returning later this year, and next spring also!!
