Hotel Victoria

I had a room with a window facing the courtyard, which made it easy to air out the room, and it was also quiet. There was also an air conditioner that could be used to cool down or heat the room if needed. The room is small, but overall, it’s perfectly fine for sleeping, especially if you spend most of the day out sightseeing or exploring. The biggest advantage is the location. There’s a park, a shopping mall, an Italian restaurant, and a large supermarket nearby. All of these places are within a 5-minute walk. The toilet and shower are shared, unfortunately, but there were generally no queues, so it wasn’t really an issue. There’s also a small kitchen where you can heat up food or store it in the fridge. There’s a small shop in the courtyard where you can grab snacks, drinks, and even some basic ingredients if you want to cook.

The Wi-Fi router in my room wasn’t working, so I had to connect to another one in a neighboring room. As a result, the connection was unstable, and using the internet wasn’t very convenient.

As you can read from other reviews there are some things to watch out for. (Entrance looks creepy, shared bathroom, cash only, breakfast not available early enough, not really a hotel but an apartment). The key is to know what to expect and plan for it. The main thing I disliked is that they contacted me by WhatsApp asking me to cancel my booking (this seems to happen regularly in Yerevan - not sure if it's because of overbooking). I refused.to cancel myself and told them to cancel from their end They didn't end up cancelling and honoured my reservation, but I disliked that they wanted me to cancel and bear responsibility for the cancellation and forfeit any compensation. However as mentioned, many places in Yerevan seem to do this, and overall I was very happy with this place - it's great value. I'm very happy with what I got for my money and would come again and I recommend it.

Didn’t have shower amenities, shampoo or soap

This is not a hotel, the google incorrectly states that it is a hotel. This is an apartment in an old building, where there are 4 old-style rooms for rent. There is always someone from the service, so if you need privacy, this is not the place. Friendly lady serving, great breakfast, excellent location, no problem with parking
