GVR Homestay 1

Loved the fact that this location was on the more quiet side of Genting (especially at night). It was very peaceful and calming at night, and the neighbourhood was very quaint. As many reviews before me have mentioned, this unit is nearby a river and there's a lot of greenery around. If you're in this for a highly localised experience, this is the place. It's also big enough to host 4-6 pax a night, and the water pressure and heat were amazing lol. It was also nice and clean, and perhaps, not too cold. The living room (fully closed) was colder than the bedroom (with windows opened).

Though it was peaceful at night, you can actually hear construction during the daytime. :( Also, the fan in the room was louder than anything else (and imo, not sufficient - a ceiling fan would be better but I tend to run hotter than most other Malaysians). At night, the road to the apartment was dark so it really felt far away from civilisation - the lack of lights also made it harder to spot the multitude of potholes on the road, so please drive carefully. And last but not least, the cleaning and service fee is not part of the main cost on the first page, so the total was much more than expected, but still cheaper than other places within the area. :')
