Elegant Guest House in Prestigious Silver Strand

Great location, quiet neighborhood, Mark was very nice.

My wife and I have just returned home after a wonderful week in Marina Del Rey at Marks Vrbo accommodation. Everything about the property was perfect for us. The apartment was spotlessly clean.The location is quiet, but a short walking distance from the Marina, the beach, Ballona Lagoon, Venice Canals. It's even only 25 minute walk to Abbot Kinney and it’s shopping.Mark was always there if you needed help. but never intrusive. The apartment was very well equipped. and had everything you could possibly need and more.Every morning we would open the door to his tropical garden to the sounds of running water and the wonderful smell of sweet jasmine flowers. It’s the perfect place to stay and hope to book it again in the future.

It was perfect for my me and fiancé. Loved the layout and the extras including a loud fan, beach chairs / umbrella and the back patio. Down time there was awesome and it was nice being tucked away in our quiet-ish little corner of the city, located right by the canals and the ocean. 11/10 stay!

First let me say I own a property and use VRBO. And I grew up a couple of towns over. Location is convenient to silver strand, ocean, main strand, Venice Beach and everything the South Bay has to offer. It’s a small comfy first floor condo . Comfy bed and couch. Nice small kitchen. No dishwasher, half size refrigerator. It’s decked out with most of the cooking items I needed. Great coffee maker and coffee pods were provided. Which was really nice. The unit has air conditioning included throughout the whole building. The unit has access to a really nice patio with a water feature that is for the whole building. The unit has a parking spot which fit my Subaru Outback, but it’s not going to fit any vehicle larger than that. The owner was very nice, and lives in the building. He greeted us upon arrival even though it was late at night, and there was a nice welcoming form letter. The book of information inside is great for WiFi and access codes. The unit has a physical key entry , not an electronic secret code entry. The front door is glass and it has a sturdy front screen door. The rear french doors are glass as well that lead to the water feature patio. The unit was clean, but has a mold/mildew smell in the cabinet to the left of the closet in the bedroom. The unit is dark without the lights on, there are small windows on the outside wall. There is a fan and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. There are security cameras all around the outside of the building. When booking the unit there is no refund for any reason, and I needed to due to job. Upon arrival the owner notified us that one of the days we would be without power due to city maintenance. But if there is no electrical then nothing works in the whole unit. No hot shower. I mean nothing. And the power was off from the morning for about 6 hours. The owner did end up refunding half of the day cost for us. Which I really appreciated. Then the other item was that a person came right up to the glass door and jiggled the door handle to apparently come in. The first time I blew it off. The second time my daughter and I were watching TV and a person came up and jiggled the glass door handle and not shyly and then stood there for a good minute. We could see the shadow of a person through the glass door. I did not open it. I asked the owner was that you? He said, no. And then said Bizarre. We packed up and left a day early. The owner did end up refunding us that last night stay. Which I appreciated.
