About this apartment rental
You will love this quiet tree-top studio in the heart of Old Town Key West. Located just a block away from the Historic Light house and Hemingway house and very close to Duval Street. This is a cosy studio ideal for one person or a couple looking for a reasonable Key West get-away. There is internet access and satellite TV. Parking is on street. There is a BBQ gas grill and patio furniture for your convenience. You can enjoy the Island Breezes from your spacious deck.

Overall this air-conned property served my needs very well.It formed the upstairs 'half' of a white clapboard constructed house. The 'downstairs' two bedroomed accommodation was also rented out and is of a far superior style to 'upstairs'. I wanted somewhere where I could also have some relaxation with ready access to cafes, restaurants, shops and night life.The apartment's central location just off Duval street was absolutely right for this. I was there to complete a novel and did much of my work seated on the outside patio during the afternoon. It proved fine for this because it is well shaded. But the steep outside staircase too - and the only access - is partially blocked by a tree so might also prove problematic for those less nimble on their feet!The apartment is really too small for two people to share - unless going through the initial stages of 'love'! However it is advertised as suitable for two. But I wouldn't want to try it!The apartment does not have room for a bed hence one has to use a sofa bed. I have a similar arrangement in my office back home in the UK and have used it many times. However, the one in the apartment was 'broken' and hence pretty uncomfortable. I slept directly on the sofa itself. Fine for one but a whole lot less good for two! - unless you're midgets!Sadly during my stay the shower had a leak of long standing (and into the downstairs apartment!) and was therefore out of use for four days while it was fixed.The apartment too could have done with an 'in situ' cylinder vacuum cleaner as leaves were constantly blowing in through the patio door. And the steam iron provided looked as if it was from another century. But it still worked fine.Would I do it again? Absolutely!
