A unique place to stay along the coast.

How awesome to stay in the old lighthouse keepers' quarters! Our room was very cosy and comfy, and included a complimentary bottle of wine. We brought our own food, and had a wonderful stay. We took advantage of the walking trails adjacent to the lighthouse property, and also toured the lighthouse. We would definitely stay here again.

So happy to have found this place and to support this nonprofit. It has been the highlight of our trip so far! Worth it!

The lighthouse, the gift shop and museum were delightful! The Bookkeepers Room was perfect. Neat and tidy and so artfully thought out. Everything we needed including freshly ground coffee. A wonderful view with the sound of the crashing waves all around. Clean and comfortable.

Perfect family getaway for a memorable stay

Wow! Loved the location with water on the sides of us and waking up to beautiful sunshine on the water out the front and back windows. The house has a good floor plan, was well stocked with all the cooking supplies we needed, and was comfortable. Thank you for having games on the shelves… that was an added treat for our family.

The carpet has numerous stains and could use a cleaning.

Comfy stay in a unique and beautiful locale

Loved this location and the apartment we stayed in. Was very nicely decorated - modern and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Thoroughly enjoyed being on this peninsula and seeing the ocean out both sides of our place. Took a few hikes along the coastline nearby and climbed down to one of the beaches to collect shells and say hi to the sea lions (we think) that were hanging out both days.

Odd smell in one of the rooms that we couldn't locate -- guessing a dead animal. Didn't reach out while we were there to get it addressed but probaby should have. Slept with window open and smell dissipated the 2nd day. Other than that no complaints at all!

There was no breakfast which was fine because we travel with a cooler of food. The location is the highest score of any scores that exist! The cottage was open and airy and wonderfully chosen blues and white and grey interior. Very comfortable beds, nice lounging area, fantastic having a fire.

It would be extremely helpful and beneficial if you would install USB ports & plugs for wall warts, where they could be easily reached, for example, bases of lamps, bedside and living room side tables. For instance I have hearing aides, phone, & iPad to charge! That’s a lot I know & there’s a surprising number of people that have that many gadgets to charge these days.

Phenomenal view!

The door lock was finicky. It was so incredibly cold and windy when we got there and then struggling to get in the door was frustrating. Also the weird cloth-like tiles on the wall looked dirty but everything else was WONDERFUL. The view, the bed, room decor, REAL COFFEE! We would absolutely recommend!

A fabulous place to stay and highly recommended. We have been coming to see Arina Mina the Lighthouse cat for a number of years, support the lighthouse and its gift shop but this was our first time staying there on the grounds!

Local restaurants were mostly all closed on Monday/Tuesdays. Not very many options except the casino. They let kids in, had good food, and we won, haha! So that worked out!

Beautiful experience

We loved being so close to the ocean and the amazing hiking trails. Hearing the crashing waves at night was a highlight as well as the sounds and flights of all the birds. The gift store had so many nice and thoughtful gifts for sale and the lighthouse tour guide was super fun and informative. Having everything at our doorstep was very cool.

Got the cool weather and a comfortable place to stay but getting there was a difficult drive.

Very clean, peaceful and quiet. Close to the ocean so you can hear the waves break on the rocks.

Only a wood stove for heat and firewood was green. Kitchen has plenty of good dishes,pots, pans, and flat ware. But that was it. No foil, wrap, spices, etc. It cost $25 a stay for a small BBQ. Rates are a little high. Long drive on twisty roads.

Overall good, but room didn't have the represented TV streaming services

My wife and I stayed in the Keeper's Room, which is the 1 queen bed studio with private bath. It was a beautiful room, and the staying out on the coast near the lighthouse is amazing. It's so beautiful out there (although you might have to wait for the fog to clear). Comfortable bed and hot water. A small place to keep, heat, and eat your own food (although no kitchen, and no real food access other than what you bring for yourself). It's also run by a non-profit that maintains the very cool lighthouse and is worth the (complementary) trip inside. Overall recommend the experience and location for the price.

I have to reduce my score by two because the online listing (and in-room materials) represented the Keeper's Room as having complementary streaming services (both specifically mentioned Netflix). However, the Keeper's Room did NOT have any streaming services when we stayed. The TV in the room was an older ("dumb") TV and did not have any streaming devices hooked up to it (e.g. a Roku, Flex, etc.). Instead, it only had a DVD player (with some DVDs provided in the room) and a satellite TV device that did not include any other streaming service. I hope they fix this soon because I feel like it was a misrepresentation of the room - my wife and I had specifically booked the room because we planned to watch Netflix the evening after we arrived before going to bed.

Great getaway

Location, cleanliness, views, layout of apartment and the arena mina cat! It was amazing they had plenty of dishes and appliances for cooking and baking. Loved the fireplace and the window blinds that were adjustable so we could get that sea breeze but maintain privacy. Can't wait to return.

The bed frame was bit weak and squeaky it moved from the wall when you moved a little or got into bed like the mattress was too light or something? Other than that it was great!

Spectacular location, friendly staff & volunteers who maintain the historic lighthouse and museum

We could see the lighthouse from the window of the Bookkeeper's Room. The radiant heat from the floor kept us warm, and there was plenty of premium ground coffee.

The beds are not very comfortable. Water pressure in one of the bathrooms was minimal and water did not get hot. The other bathroom was fine.
