The apartment would have got a shining review had it had the maintenance issues sorted.

It was clean and convenient to our work, beds we’re comfortable and had all the amenities.

None of the wall panel heaters were working although they had left some small blow heaters which did warm up the apartment, also the extractor fan was not working in the bathroom.

Great value for money

The accomodation is cost friendly, staff is nice, kitchen facilities are outstanding. Anna especially is amazing. She is very helpful with a smiling face. You can contact her and she gets the job done in seconds. She is very approachable. The experience wouldn’t have been amazing without Anna.

Only location was ok

We travel 3 h to celebrate new years with families, first welcome was give us apartments far from each other just on same floor, when I call that lady she changed bit closer we managed that , heating not working in same rooms , we go downstairs to ask for electric heater, staff member can’t give , so we call apartment manager or owner we don’t know who she are ask her to give us extra heater she say I can’t give you until morning and was rude , I told her we are with small kids and it’s very cold , she say if you not happy you can’t leave and find another apartment, I told her we can’t find anything right now we here now , end of conversation she say only give heater tomorrow, we have no another option we return upstairs, later on one of stuff member bring electric heater.. bed was uncomfortable at all , cooker not working properly, shower play up , all apartment smells, we all slept with socks, kids was keep saying it’s very cold , unfortunately we travel to enjoy but we was really disappointed with everything. My daughter she iil now not recommended to go there

Mixed experience

2nd apartment we were given was generally fine, good size. Bed was comfy, generally clean. We stayed here previously a few years ago and had a better experience

First apartment we were given had hairs all over the quilt, I'm not sure how they all ended up there, it was like a dog had slept in the bed. We called the number provided and they did give us a new room quickly. The car park is horrible and confusing, the shutters are always down and it seems you have to wait for someone to spot you on CCTV to let you in? Really run down and stinks of urine Lift and communal areas a bit run down, lift wouldn't be recommended if you're at all nervous in them, makes some strange noises. The apartment was cold, the heater didn't do much. Parts of the apartment were a bit run down, broken handles, panel in the bathroom rotting, bulbs out.

Good location close to bus and train stations. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. The view from the 9th floor is spectacular. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Not much. I was unable to bend the shower head forward so I had to take it down and hold it then turn it on with the other hand.

Comfortable once in apartment

Comfy bed, good size apartment and location

The shower tray flooded the bathroom floor. The apartment was a long way from reception (9th floor) and it felt isolated. I used the service stairs (no sign to say they were not for public use) it was dirty, loud music coming from behind a door, a broken lift and no exit at the bottom other than a fire door. I felt quite vulnerable and had to go through empty offices to get back to reception

Cute apartment with all the facilities

Great little apartment with a fully equipped kitchen so we could cook some meals at home and save money during our trip. It was also great to have the space to sit in the living room and watch tv or eat dinner at the dining table.

When we first arrived, the shower only emitted boiling hot water so we couldn’t really bathe properly. However, we spoke to the building manager the next day and they had a fixture replaced within a few hours despite it being a Sunday so great customer service. The couch was a bit old and smelly.

Good self-contained apartment

The apartment was split into three well-apportioned areas. The bed was firm and comfortable, and the bedroom had appropriate furnishing and ambient lighting.

Access to the parking outside office hours could be more clearly marked, and access and exit could be better communicated.

I stayed for one night at Quay Apartments and had a wonderful experience overall. The apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of the city, with Tesco and the high street just a short walk away. It’s convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring the area. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The lift felt a bit shaky and made sudden stops before reaching the floor, which was slightly unsettling. Also, parking costs £8 per night, which I found a bit expensive considering it’s next door to the property.

the area seemed rough. the flats are in the high rise building, therefore the windows are sealed and the only way to get fresh air is to use A/C machine

Good value for money, lacking utensils, confusing parking.

There was someone on the desk to give us the keys which was good. The room itself was above a bar which seemed loud when we first came into the room, but it didn’t go on too late. Full kitchen but very few utensils/pans/etc. It does come with a coffee machine & a few pods which was nice. No cleaning products. The room was quite hot but there was an aircon unit (not built in) in both the living space & the bedroom. The noise didn’t bother us because we sleep with a fan on, but if you need silence & a cold room to sleep…. It’s not a good combination. Bathroom decor was nice but the shower water pressure was weak.

The car park is next to the apartments, however you can’t walk out the way you drive in (no door and automatic shutters). There is a stairwell which has confusing instructions - also we had many bags and a concrete stairwell wasn’t easy to navigate. When we realised that we couldn’t go that way (reception later explained that it’s locked after a certain time) we managed to get out of the shutter. When we found our way to the building, the receptionist let us in and explained he opened the shutters so we could get out of the car park. If he hadn’t seen us on CCTV, we wouldn’t have been able to get out.

Not a good experience

Easy to get to from railway station. Desk/security staff very pleasant and helpful. Refund was very fairly dealt with.

Unbearably hot, no ventilation and portable air conditioning units that didn’t work. It was not possible to stay in these conditions, so I cut my stay from four to just one night and left

1st time in Newport

Proximity to city centre and public transport. Very friendly staff, easy to get to. Perfect for a short stay weekend (the weather made it fabulous, which was a bonus). Wish we'd stayed an extra nite. Would definitely stay there again 👍🏽😀

The windows didn't open, which was weird, considering how warm the weather turned out to be. The air con in the bedroom needs to be a little stronger. The lighting was a little bright for my taste but the lamps helped.

Good location and friendly staff - 9th floor was god with a fantastic view. kitchen and area was clean but we cant open windows. very quiet and nice

elevator was scary, once it reaches your floor it bangs. one bed was super soft. shower head need maintenance. unable to open windows. no netflix account logged in. 1 night stay and spending a few hours or so is not that worth the money
