The home features a dining room with seating for 6+ , a cool fully stocked European kitchen, and breakfast bar. Relax on the screened porch overlooking a spacious shady private fenced in backyard. After a day at the beach or fishing wash off in the outdoor shower (seasonal) The home is located beside a park with tennis courts, playground, and a nature path that connects to downtown Southport.
Anchor House welcomes dogs with the owners approval. The owner has a crate and extra pet supplies in the home for your use.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very pet friendly. The park was close by, with walking trails. It is a very cute and eclectic house. Nice big backyard. We loved the tile in the shower.We ended up renting because it was Thanksgiving weekend and my parents to many people staying at their house. So we decided to rent so we could have some space of our own. We cook the Thanksgiving turkey (which was 25 pounds) and the oven worked great. Whenever I contacted the host, they got back to me quickly. We even extended our stay one more day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three days at Anchor House. The weather was unbearably HOT, but the house allowed us to feel right at home. Upkeep of the house is impeccable. We hope to be able to visit again!!!!!

Anchor House is a cute cottage harkening back to the old days of Southport. Its quaint and eclectic furnishings along with retro feel is cozy. Alas, we discovered when we pulled up, it’s for sale & I’m guessing it will go the way of other little older homes.
