Hiona Seaside

We loved our stay at Hiona Seaside in Elounda. It was an ideal, convenient, and safe location on the ocean front boardwalk. Easy to walk every where in town. Bus stop, Taxi service, Laundry service near by. The staff were amazing, attentive, friendly, efficient, resourceful and hard working. Our Kudos to Manos, Fiona, Lynn, Katerina, and Janice a wonderful Chef who cook delicious and affordable meals.

Our apartment shower was too small. Hard to turn around. The shower handle was too big and hard and clumsy to hold or hang up. Soap tray to bumpy to put their sundries on. The shower curtain was too long would clog the drain and then the water would back up and flow over spilling onto the floor. The shiwer curtain would cling to your skin while showering. Had to mop up using all our towels. Clean towels were to be replaced every 3 days. Recommend the hotel installs a bigger and better shower so reduce staff hours and their work load in having to wash more towels and the hotel would save money in the long run. And customers would appreciate having a decent shower.

Travelled late at night. I let the host know and they left the key in the room door for me. I only stayed for a night, so it was suitable for a stop over. The host was amazing and accommodating, loved that he was there to speak with at breakfast. They were laid back about check out, which was nice not having to rush after breakfast. Loved the location, very good place as a base and by the sea.

Nothing, kind of knew what to expect. The location was aligned to its start rating.
