La Bambouseraie

Really the best accommodation during our stay in Nicaragua. It felt like glamping. You are in the jungle with butterflies, parrots and monkeys, but safe behind the mosquito nets. All round view towards 2 volcanos. The whole property is really sweet. We rented ATVs and ate at the restaurant. They organised taxi transfer and kayaking for us. It was a carefree and wonderful stay. I would recommend it to everyone.

Nothing, it was a dream!

Amazing place just off the main road on the outskirts of Balgue. The room was so so peaceful - unbelievable to feel the breeze and hear the sounds of the forest while lying in bed. Very secluded and private. Wonderful room :)

The restaurant was a little bit quiet - its not their fault there was nobody else there - but they could have had some music on or something. The staff said they would put us a breakfast to go (included in our room price) in the fridge for a day we had to leave early, but they forgot to do so.

Beautiful, great location, staff was so helpful and kind and knowledgeable. Food was delicious.

Stay in Casa Pitanga! Unbelievable views of both Volvan Maderas and Volcan Conception…and the cows, and horses and howler monkeys! Stargazing in the hammock chairs became a nightly ritual. The cabana itself is lovely and well equipped. We really enjoyed the lemongrass tea in the morning The kind staff make you feel so welcome and cared for from the moment you arrive. Zapote restaurant was perfect for breakfast and lovely dinners with local ingredients. The communal kitchen has lovely free fruit for you to enjoy (bananas, coconuts and jackfruit fresh from the trees). If you are hiking be sure to go with Enrique. He is wonderful. Selvista/La Bambousseraie can organize it all for you. Loki their resident pup is the best. He loved leading me to the yoga deck every morning. Barking friendlily at me when I was too slow. A flawless experience from start to finish. Much gracias
