Apartment/ flat - Cadaques

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful and unique property in a wonderful village…Cadaquez is gorgeous. The wife of the host, Christa, was nice and communicated well although we didn’t actually meet her but the actual host and owner of the property was unhelpful and even threatened to kick us out when we complained about the air conditioning not working properly and the place being hot. Christa offered us some fans 3 days after we complained which helped a little but please note whilst there is air con in the bedrooms there is no air con in the living/kitchen area and there is no door between the main bedroom and the living area which means you can’t keep the bedroom properly cooled either. Christa had her staff deliver us some vegetables from her garden which was a nice gesture. The property is on the edge of the village and is a very steep walk back up from the village. Additionally just a note, the washing machine is located in a seperate building from the apartment, down the external entrance stairs (approx 15) and in the owners garage on the lower street. Overall, however, if the air conditioning situation was sorted, we would have really enjoyed our stay in the property.

It was nice to be high up above Cadaques, with great views and much quieter than town. Easy to get around on foot. If you have a car there are a few parking lots around. No one was living at the apartment above us, so it felt pretty secluded. Very well equipped kitchen.(The rock wall is beautiful, but lends a bit of a musty smell to the place. And if you are sensitive to scented towels and bed sheets, bring your own.)Highly recommend it,kh

We had a fabulous stay at Christa’s apartment. The outside space and view were the highlights. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could need and the shower is strong and hot. The beds were very comfortable.

Casita la Roca was the highlight of our trip to Northern Catalonia: Perched on the steep mountainside, it offers spectacular views of Cadaques and the ocean beyond, sunny outdoor spaces and the coolest indoor design (one of the inside walls is literally the rocky mountainside). The house is comfortable, with an open plan design. The town of Cadaques is fantastic (great architecture, history, cafes and restaurants) and the hiking around it is fabulous. Our kids did not want to leave....... highly recommended!
