Anabela is very friendly and acts helpful. The communication was prompt, clear and friendly. We felt comfortable in the apartment with its magnificent view. Also we enjoyed the calmness of the little village and the surrounding area, full of specific plants. Actual we were there for the second time and would love to come back!

This property is kind of remote, but close to Colores and Sintra. Very well maintained, clean and quaint. Has everything you need. We mostly did our own cooking, eating out only if we were out exploring. Great place to get away, and enjoy the Portugal county side. Realize you can not park at door and drop off luggage. We parked up the hill close to an eatery, and walked luggage down. For us not a problem, but if you packed heavy, could be more cumbersome. Thank you Anabela for a wonderful stay and gracious hospitality!!!!

First of all, the setting of Penedo is great. Not that far from Lisbon, close to Syntra, in the middle of the nature, surrounded by beaches.
Penedo itself can easily be reached by car. We didn't have a car and did it by foot, but we are used to walk. Let's say that it is recommended to come by own car, since you need to climb half an hour from Colares to get in Penedo.
The house itself is small and cozy. We stayed for 14 days, which was too long. The bathroom and terrace are really small and the house is really humid. We think it's due to the fact that you are living half in the mountains, but it was the most negative point of the journey. Also be aware of the fact that this vacation house is a part of the house of the owner, who has a larger balcony, below yours. The owner was friendly, but if you want a some space and privacy…
Conclusion: the price is good, the setting as well, a lot of different things to do. But if you want some luxury and privacy, this is according to us not the right spot.
