About this apartment rental
Villa Feliz: Our comfortable villa situated in the edge of the small village of Portella de Messines. It is a very pretty spot offering peace and privacy close to the pleasant inland town of Sao Bartolomeu de Messines (commonly referred to as Messines), which lies about 15km north of Albufeira in the centre of the Algarve and is only 30 minutes by car from Faro Airport. We have welcoming local country bars and restaurants, which offer better value than the coastal resorts, and you will also savour the character and atmosphere of Portugal. The local people are friendly, especially if you make an effort with your phrase book. Main shopping can be done in Messines or, for immediate needs, there is a small general shop only a few minutes walk from Villa Feliz. If you want the sea or night life, it's only a 20 minute drive away.
For golfers, there are many superb courses from which to choose in an area 25 to 40 minutes drive from Villa.
Each apartment is fully equipped with linen, towels, cutlery, crockery etc., but beach and pool towels are not provided. Linen and towels are changed weekly or more frequently if requested
The one bedroom units normally sleep four; The bedrooms have twin beds and double bed settees in the lounges.
Each lounge/diner is tastefully furnished with cane and pine furniture. Patio doors lead to the balcony with its own table and chairs.
The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave and refrigerator.
Each apartment has digital satellite TV (BBC programmes), Wi Fi Internet Access and heaters for cool winter evenings.
Sun loungers are provided..
Whilst Villa Feliz is fully insured, personal valuables and money are not covered and, as with any holiday, it is wise to take out insurance for these items and also for medical cover.

Just had a great time at Villa Feliz. Nice pool and beautiful garden.
Perfect location to relax, far from the noise of the southern coast, yet less than 30' from the beautiful beaches of the Algarve...
Great communication from Cedric before arrival and top-notch service and help from Peter and Fenella on site.
Basic supplies and a nice bottle of wine were even provided upon our late arrival.
To be recommended!

This house is beautifull and the pool is perfect. My daugther enjoy it !!! Peter is a very nice person and we have the surprise to have some foods in the fridge when we arrive... it was very much appreciated !!! Thanks very much !!! We recommend this house !!!

We are just back from the Villa Feliz and we had a fantastic time! It was so relaxing! The apartment was spotless and spacious, plenty of room for the 5 of us. (2 Adults and 3 Teenagers)
The pool, terrace and garden are perfect place to unwind. We had breakfast by the pool watching the Bee eaters flying over almost every day.
The location was perfect for us to, near enough to the crazy tourist towns to dip your toe in for an evening of crowd watching and TAT buying, but far enough away to have peace and quiet and really get away from it all.
We bought fresh provisions locally either from the small store round the corner or from the well stocked supermarket in Sao Bartolomeu de Messines 5-10mins away (we also picked Oranges, Lemons and Limes that grow all around the villa).
Peter and Fenella were great hosts, they had the apartment fridge stocked with essentials which made our late night arrival so much better. They were able to provide us with helpful information from where to eat to naming the birds in the garden.
Overall we would recomend the apartments at the Villa Feliz to anyone looking for somewhere to relax that offers easy access to alomost everywhere on the Algarve.

just returned from another wonderful stay at villa feliz,the owners were out there whilst we were and they could do enough for us and there other guests,the property as allways was immaculate and clean.,
it is well maintained and whilst we were ther ethe owners were refurbishing items that needed sprucing up ie; new pool chairs and tables ect new ironing boards and irons and all sorts of little nick knacks that you dont realise are there untill you want one,I have and will still recommend this property to friends and others,several of our friends have gone on our recco and still go,if you get out there try the lamb chops and fillets they are ab /fab taste like lamb used to taste,sorry if you are a veggie but the salads and fish are excellent
too ,it is easy to get around from villa feliz spain 1/2 hour beaches algarve 20 minutes,and if you want a train trip go to tunes or faro and catcha train to monte gordo or lagos ,it is so cheap not like uk and if you are over 60 i/2 price again,in fact if you are really adventurous take a trip by train to lisbon worth every penny,get out thee now prices will rise in the shops ect next year so enjoy, chill out and live longer.
