About this house rental
The generously proportioned Don Genaro apartment complex with a total area of 6000 square meters offers a total of 9 accommodation units consisting of apartments / cottages of various sizes and amenities. The complex has a large chlorine-free swimming pool with large hardwood deck and comfortable pool chairs and a smaller relaxation pool.
In addition, Don Genaro offers a generous "palappa" (shady palm leaf hut) with lounge furniture, hammocks and bar, a barbecue / grill hut for sociable hours, a small castle chapel, a turtle enclosure and inside free parking.
If you want to switch off properly, then you are exactly right here. Enjoy the large tropical garden, the exotic wildlife and the magnificent view of the largest mountain Curacao - the Christoffelberg.
It's hard to describe the Palapino, with a roof of palm leaves, but you have to experience it, but if you want to live in the middle of nature and yet do not want to miss comfort,,,

- if you want to welcome and observe hummingbirds, sugar birds and Gekkos as house guests ...

The Don Genaro Apartments are like an Oasis...Great place for solitude, pool time & sunshine; and serves as a perfect hub to visit all the fabulous beaches. Hosts were super helpful & friendly in every way. (Local dogs barking is part of the neighborhood.) Elke & Christopher & Susanna all made our stay very comfortable. Would highly recommend for longer term vacation or short term.

Herzlicher Empfang der Gastgeber, ausführliche Inseltipps, Unterstützung und Organisation u. a. bei der Autovermietung, Restaurantbesuchen, Massage vor Ort, Schnorchelausrüstung etc.
Das tropische Palapino, mit der schönen Außenküche, sorgte für ein entspanntes Kochvergnügen. Der zur Vefügung stehende Weber Grill, wurde von uns oft in Anspruch genommen ( Fleisch und Fisch ist preiswert). Zu erwähnen ist auch die super Leitungswasserqualität, feinstes Trinkwasser, auch angenehm für Haut und Haar. Die vorhandene Kühlbox, mit dem hervorragenden Wasser, war täglich mit auf unseren Ausflügen. Über die vielen großen Badetücher haben wir uns auch gefreut.
Ein ideales Plätzchen zum Erholen, ruhig (bis auf das Hundegebell in den Morgenstunden) gelegen, in einer schönen, tropischen Umgebung.
Relaxen in der Hängematte und die saubere Luft und die angenehmen Temperaturen genießen, das trägt viel zur Erholung bei.
Es gibt viel Sehenswertes auf der schönen Insel, von den farbenfrohen Häusern, über die kleinen traumhaften Sandstrände (Badeschuhe sind empfehlenswert), bis zur gut besuchten Hauptstadt Willemstad.
Das Sea Aquarium ist traumhaft gelegen und auf alle Fälle ein Besuch wert.
In dem kleinen Außenpool, vor dem Palapino haben wir beim nächtlichen Baden, den fantastischen Sternenhimmel bewundern können.
Ein ganz liebes Dankeschön an Elke und Christopher, bei denen wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Wir waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal hier.
Und: Der selbstgebackene Apfelkuchen und die schmackhafte Tasse Kaffee, kurz vor unserem Heimflug, haben uns sehr lecker geschmeckt, vielen Dank nochmal dafür.
