Quiet and traditional black forest stay

Brief but wonderful stay in a traditional black forest setting. The rooms have been recently modernised and are very comfortable. The area was very quiet with little traffic, but close to many hiking trails that Herr Schnurr was able to recommend. There is a selection of local beers and wines on offer, with other regional and homemade specialities on sale. Breakfast was lovely with lots of home made products. We had our young son with us, and we were made to feel very welcome; cot and high chair were available.

Amazing and incrediable place in Black Forest.

It's amazing living inside the black forest, surrouned by the trees and the nature. walking distance to the trial also the supermarket. The breakfast is great and the host is very nice too. I would love to stay more nights if I could.

Clean room. Renovated bathroom. Comfortable bed. The view during the night is amazing. The hosts were extremely lovely. The breakfast was very decent.

Gem!

Such a lovely experience. We arrived super late but we had some instructions ready for us to find the place. Perfect for a family with enough room. Everything was clean and they had kitchenette ready for use. Shower was superb! Staff were lovely and the views were stunning!

Great location, great hosts and a good room - that's all you need, and you get it here.

The hosts are exceptionally lovely and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The outside sitting area is picturesque. The breakfast was good, and the location was terrific - in the valley, in a quiet small town along a stream, with small farm animals, apple trees, and a view. There's a room with a pool table, ping-pong, foosball, and (a real) bow and arrow practice. More games inside. We needed an earlier breakfast and the hosts were happy to help us.

The mattress needs some puffing up :-) The amazing remote location has one downside - Dinner locations are hard to find, especially at the beginning of the week. But for families - no problem - get pizza in town or buy food at the Lidl, a 13 minute drive away.

Very good

I had trouble finding the hotel because the sign was blocked by Christmas trees, which was quite annoying. It felt closed when I arrived, it turned out I was the only guest in the hotel. I pass through this area a lot and wanted to try another hotel than my usual one that I like a lot. I’ll return to the other one next time. The room was small. I must say the breakfast omelette was amazing!

Clean and comfortable guest house with everything you need in a scenic spot.

Amazing breakfast with healthy options - boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, nuts, veg, fruit salad in addition to the usual bread, slices, jams and cereal. Really attentive and kind staff. The location is quite remote, so it makes a big difference that there is a kitchen you can use to prepare meals. There is a fridge for guests to store their food. It's in hike-able distance from Allerheiligen Wasserfaelle and Mummelsee.

I can only recommend

it was great stay, big room and excellent breakfast - high quality food. The breakfast starts @8:30 ... we didn't mind, just be aware, if you're early bird. There is a kitchen & fridge for guest use and another fridge loaded with drinks for self-service. Also, the family has distillery and there is good selection of great quality spirits. all and all, I can only recommend.

Beautiful little farm guesthouse in the Black Forest.

Breakfast was excellent. Location is beautiful and staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though it was a bit rainy during our stay, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and very dog friendly.

We had a hard time finding a good place to eat dinner nearby. Not the hotel's fault, but many places were closed or were fully booked.

Not a hotel for young families but more for older people without children.

The location is amazing. The nature is great, the small river provides white noise at night. You can make nice walks from the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the people very kind. Parking is right at the door from hotel.

The room was very small. Even as a double room. The beds were uncomfortable and uneven (one mattress was much higher than the other one). The windows didn't have a mosquito net. So, either you are hot or you are bitten by mosquitos. The ventilation in the bathroom was very loud and at night the baby was woken up by the load noise.

breakfast was fine and well presented. Property very picturesque setting and very comfortable. Owners also have a small produce shop at the back which could be better advertised.

Lack of soap for the shower and carpet in the bedroom is quite old. However, the bonus to that it is suitable for pets and the owners are very comfortable with pets.

Schön, sauber, geräumig und idyllisch.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft, alles sehr ordentlich und sauber. Nette Eigentümer und Personal. Das Zimmer war überdurchschnittlich groß und das Bad sehr modern und sauber. Es waren reichlich Handtücher vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind sehr leise, man hört von den Nachbarzimmern nichts. Wir hatten eine große, voll ausgestattete Küche mit Tisch und Stühlen dabei, die sich mit auf dem Flur befand und abschließbar war. Wir fanden es dann angenehmen, dass die Küche separat war. Das Frühstück war lecker und ausreichend. Frisches Omelett wurde für uns zubereitet. Kaffee und Tee standen bereit. Eine kleine Spielecke hat uns das Frühstücken sehr angenehm gemacht, da die Kinder dort Ablenkung gefunden haben. Sehr nette Köchin, die das Frühstück zubereitet hat. Nettes Örtchen, alles Fußläufig. Mit dem Auto oder Bus schnell am Mummelsee oder am Mehliskopf. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Super schöne Pension, von den Inhabern mit viel Liebe geführt. Toller Service in allen Bereichen.

Alles neu renoviert. Tolle Gastgeber. Nette Atmosphäre. Super leckeres Frühstück mit eigenen Eiern. Voller Kühlschrank für die Gäste mit Selbstbedienung. Schnäpse aus der eigenen Brennerei sehr lecker. Wir bekamen sogar noch eine Flasche gratis beim Auschecken geschenkt.

Magnifique auberge, très confortable

Le cadre, la vue, le confort et toute la chambre rénovée, superbe lieu ! Un gentil geste aussi des propriétaires qui donnent un petit souvenir local. Petit déjeuner bien fourni !

Rien à redire, tout était bien. Je pourrais dire que la salle de bain est un peu étroite (chambre simple), mais c'est si vraiment il faut trouver quelque chose, pas un problème !

In een lager gelegen kamer (en misschien niet in een heel hete periode) zou dit prima zijn.

Prima gelegen. Prachtige tuin en omgeving. Heel rustig.

Wij hadden een kamer onder het dak en daar was het even warm als buiten (30° C). Helaas konden wij nooit een raam openen want meteen vlogen er dan wespen naar binnen.

Freundlicher Besitzer, der uns ein hervorragendes Restaurant zum Abendessen nach unserem Geschmack empfahl. Die Unterkunft hat einen sehr schönen Garten, den wir leider wegen viel Regen nicht nutzen konnten. Das Frühstück gut.

Leider hatten wir neben dem Wetter auch Pech mit unserem Zimmer gehabt, welches ohne Balkon war und uns nicht gefiel, da kein anderes Zimmer insbesondere mit Balkon mehr frei war. Vielleicht erhalten wir beim nächsten Mal ein besseres Zimmer und haben mehr Glück mit dem Wetter, um den schönen Garten genießen zu können.
