About this apartment rental
The apartment Fienile consists of a living room with a kitchenette, a double room with the possibility of adding an extra bed, a bathroom and a garden with table, chairs and parasol. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove and freezer. The furniture is rustic and the characteristic features of the former stables have been preserved, as well as the entrance and the arches.
'Il Granaio' was a stable of the cavalry 100 years ago, which was built during the First World War. Later 'Il Granaio' was used as a granary and was completely restored in 1999 without changing the original structure. The apartments are in a central position and are approximately 5 km from the sea and 10 km from Castiglione della Pescaia. The 2-room apartment Il Fienile (living room and bedroom) for 2 to 3 people is furnished in a typical Tuscan style. The swimming pool with parasols and rocking chairs is available to all guests free of charge. Our guests can also use bicycles for excursions and barbecues free of charge. Our little guests have the opportunity to let off steam on playground equipment in a safe place.
The beach: The wide sandy beach and the clean water (Castiglione della Pescaia was built in 2007 because of its optimal water quality. Classified) make the coasts of the Maremma the ideal vacation spot for the whole family.

Hemos estado dos semanas en Il Granaino, somos una pareja con un perro. Hemos estado muy a gusto, disfrutando de sus instalaciones y de la hospitalidad de los propietarios, Fernando y Dorreth, que facilitaban nuestra estancia en todo lo que podían. La finca esta cerca del pueblo de Grosseto, donde se puede ir a comprar en pocos minutos en coche y tambien cerca de Castigliole está la playa para perros. Zona muy rural, poco masificada y tranquila.

"Il Granaio" ist ein schönes und ruhiges, in der Maremma zwischen Grosseto und dem Meer gelegenes Feriendomizil . Die Anlage verfügt über einen Pool mit Liegewiese und jede Wohnung hat einen eigenen Garten, der durch eine Lorbeerhecke vom Nachbarn abgetrennt ist. Die Wohnungen sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet und werden offensichtlich immer wieder hergerichtet / gewartet (z.B. neue Matratzen). Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und stets hilfsbereit.
Grosseto und Umgebung eignen sich als Ausgangspunkt für kulturbegeisterte Urlauber (Museen, Ausgrabungen, mittelalterliche Städte etc.); aber auch der Badeurlauber kommt durch die nahegelegenen Strände (umgeben von Pinienwäldern) nicht zu kurz. Da es sich bei der Maremma um ein ehemaliges Sumpfgebiet handelt, in welchem es natürlich auch zahlreiche Mücken gibt, sollte man aber immer sein "Autan" im Gepäck haben. Die Wohnungen sind alle mit Fliegen- / Mückengittern ausgestattet, was i.d.R. vor nächtlichen Stichen schützt.
Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub und wir waren sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal im "Il Granaio".

Ich möchte hier zunächst einmal erwähnen, dass es sich um ein größeres Grundstück mit Privatteil (vom Vermieter und Familie bewohnt) handelt. Soll heißen, es gibt mehrere Wohnungen, die aber gut voneinander abgegrenzt sind, sodass man absolut seine Ruhe bekommt (falls gewünscht). Jetzt zu den Basics eines Ferienhauses - allesamt absolut in Ordnung. Schöne Wohnung, nettes Anwesen und ein sehr bemühter Vermieter, der alles gut im Griff hat. Er hat sogar einen eigenen Brötchenservice beim ansässigen Bäcker organisiert, der jeden Morgen frische Brötchen nach internationalem Stil (mit Salz; die Italiener backen Brötchen trad. ohne) bringt. Rein wohntechnisch also alles in bester Ordnung, man fühlt sich wohl. Jetzt aber das ABER. Man muss sich bewußt sein, dass in der Gegend wirklich NICHT der Bär steppt... Die großen Städte der Toskana wie Pisa oder Florenz sind genau wie die Hauptstadt Rom mind. 2h Autofahrt entfernt und die regionale Hauptstadt Grosseto ist auch nicht sooo interessant (dafür kann man sich hier bestens mit Lebensmitteln eindecken - es gibt sogar einen LIDL). Das heißt, Städtebesichtigungen als Tagesausflug sind also fast ausgeschlossen. Und die Nationalparks in der Gegend verlangen in der Hauptsaison sogar Eintritt... DAFÜR sind die Strände sehr schön, gepflegt und sauber. HIER aber wieder das ABER: Sie sind echt ziemlich weit von der Wohnung entfernt. Der Vermieter bietet zwar Fahrräder an, aber das kann man ehrlicherweise vergessen. Man müßte Landstrasse fahren, weil es keine Radwege oder ähnliches gibt. Und das wollten wir aufgrund des ital. Auto-Fahrstils nicht - ist echt gefährlich. Und es sind auch nicht 5-6 km zum Strand, sondern 8-16 km (16 zu den wirklich schönen Stränden). ALSO muss man sich bewußt machen, dass man hier gut ENTSPANNEN kann - am STRAND. Kultur und Party fällt dafür aus. Dafür spricht man deutsch: sowohl der niederländische Vermieter als auch die 100% dt. Mieter während unseres Aufenthaltes. Gruß aus Stuttgart!

Für einen ruhigen Urlaub im Mai kann man das Domizil durchaus empfehlen.
Einige Abstriche sollte man bei der Gartenanlage machen hier fehlen einigen fachmänniche Gärtnerhände.
