It’s a cute hotel that has everything you need. The rooms are well equipped and clean, the breakfast is tasty and you can get beach towels too. City centre is 10 minutes walk.

I really enjoyed my stay here for so many reasons: I slept like a log, breakfast with eggs al gusto, toast, jam, coffee and fruit was delightful, so impressed with the water container for water bottle refills and the bed and room were soooo comfortable. La laguna is amazing. On top of that, the hotel has the most charming hostess Rachel, who was welcoming and helpful with some great suggestions and a really useful map. Thank you for pointing out the toucanitos in the garden. That was special! Thanks Rachel!
I liked everything, but maybe a kettle and a range of teas by the kitchen for the afternoon/ evening would be a plus.

Rachel was simply the best host! She made us feel very comfortable since the first moment and explained about Bacalar main attractions. She also prepared us an early/packed breakfast for the last day since we were leaving quite early, and helped us with taxi booking. The room was simple but nice, just what we needed.
Bacalar is a small town, so sometimes the pavements are not 100% which can be tricky if you're walking with a piece of carry-on lugagge (but this has nothing to do with the Gran Jaguar hotel).

Parking Space available, Nice garden and availability of the staff at all time, security is guaranteed.
The room looks much worst than in photos, feels cold and not cozy. We had bad luck having the neighbor shouting all night long with loud music preventing us sleeping up to 4am.
