I feel the host did their best to keep us informed of how things operate at their property. Towels are not provided but the sheets were clean (I know this shouldn’t be surprising, but small mercies..)

To begin, I want to state that this apartment has massive potential. It ‘looks’ clean on first impressions, then you look deeper & it really isn’t. I was not happy. I just cannot pretend so I will state why here. I found it dirty in the sticky, dusty, icky sense. There was sticky dust everywhere, mounds of dust elsewhere & stains. Behind one of the beds was a huge ball of dust & dirt. This was the bed one of my children slept in. Kitchen drawer handles were all sticky. There was onion from a sauce (a big bit) on a high tile in the kitchen. There were stale coffee splats on the coffee machine, which brings me to add that there was a coffee machine but no coffee. How can you know what type of coffee (capsule/bag/ground) to bring? The reason this is all so concerning is that it is stated in no uncertain terms - before arrival - that you must clean the apartment upon departure. As if, the only cleaning in-house is done by guests. That’s weird, in my opinion, particularly as the property is not clean. I have photos but I shan’t share them as I believe my words are enough. Finally, this is the only place I have ever stayed in that has contacted me in the late evening, having already departed from the property in the morning, asking me (& sending a link) to authenticate payment AGAIN for my stay. This is after already having paid, authenticated, received receipts of payment & confirmation, confirmed (by hosts, my bank & Booking) & stayed at the apartment. This was time-consuming &, as I was on holiday with my family, quite annoying as I had to send messages, double-check things & discuss something that I shouldn’t have been with both my family & with the host. I was very disappointed with this stay.

handy location for the town - good living area and nice and clean throughout - good value

very warm when we stayed and fan struggled to cool the space down (but it was high summer) - beds had slats that didn't seem attached too well - but we slept okay!!!

Not much. It was clean. Appliances hard to work. Kind of a sad place.

Super emplacement dans le centre de Gien, appartement très propre et fonctionnel.
