Mountain Time is located 1/4 mile from Interstate 26. 15 miles North of Asheville and 25 minutes to Hot Springs, (natural spa/hot springs coming from ground-call for reservation), approximately 10 miles to entrance to The Blue Ridge Parkway and same to entrance to The Appalachian Trail, 15 minutes to Wolf Laurel Ski Resort, the infamous Biltmore Estate and Grove Park Inn. Mountain Bike Paths, Breweries, Water Rafting are all moments away.

Perfect for both bringing or visiting your child at the University, watching their ball games (GO LIONS! !!) or just enjoying the beautiful 4 seasons of the Great Blue Ridge Mountains in a private setting away from City life. At this time we are offering 2 night stays for the convenience of our guests.
Recent remodel with new appliances, 4 smart tv's all with Roku, 2 with built in Roku, WiFi, picnic table, basketball goal, horseshoes, fire pit, wildlife and natural beauty abounds.
3 steps up take you to front porch/front door of home to Mountain Time, our one level home. You enter a large living room, beautifully furnished with huge sectional sofa that includes a lounger on one end. Gas logs here will provide you warmth on a brisk autumn or winter evening. Flat screen with Roku/Netflix will provide entertainment to watch a favorite movie with family and/or friends.
An open archway takes you into a large kitchen/dining room with many antiques, new appliances, new laminate flooring throughout Mountain Time. A slider in dining room leads you to large screened porch where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view and wildlife.
A door off the kitchen leads you to a nice laundry room. An outside door off the laundry room leads to picnic table and carport where large hot tub is located.
A hallway leads you to a full bath (tub & shower massage), 1 bedroom with 2 double beds in it, 1 queen bedroom with lovely antiques and 1 king master bedroom and bath (this bath has stand up shower and shower massage) You can enjoy the beauty of your surroundings from each bedroom.
Mountain Time brings you unbelievable privacy and view and plenty of "room to roam" yet you can walk to the Town of Mars Hill or closer shops, stores, etc.
You can "shoot the hoops" with basketball goal outback, pitch a game of horseshoes, have a campfire in the fire pit provided or picnic or picnic on table nearby.
Black walnut trees, blueberry bushes, Rose of Sharon bushes, wildlife - so much nature adorns this property. Hike a mountain on the property is you wish.

Mountain Time is a pet friendly home. We do not charge a pet fee but we ask that you give our cleaner a gratuity more than you normally would for pets. We also require to know how many, breed and whether your Precious Pup(s) are pet and people friendly before you book Mountain Time.
Your "fun chore" we ask you to do is feed birds, squirrels with food supplied at edge of woods. You will see squirrels, cardinals, all types of birds, groundhogs, rabbits, deer - wildlife abounds for your viewing pleasure from lovely screened porch or dining area.
You will be amazed at the natural pleasures you find in this home as you enjoy not only the University but the quaint shops, wonderful restaurants (Stackhouse, Baa'd Sheep Burritos, Papa Nick's) and easy shopping in a quaint & lovely small town very close by.

Centrally located between Asheville and state parks and mountains. Comfortable house with everything you need. Set back and Private even though on main road.

Overall it was good stay! Property manager was very responsive.The house is on the road side nearly 150 feet inside from the road. Gas station and shops jus opposite available!

We had a lovely vacation in Asheville, but considering the cons of the property and that we paid a total of more than $300 per night for this property, we would not stay here again. The pros and cons of the property are as follows:
The pros of staying at Mountain Time:
-Nice 20 minute drive into downtown Asheville
-Nice-size backyard with hot tub and firepit; enjoyed by kids and adults
-The owner was easy to communicate with and responsive by text messaging
-Check-in was easy
-The owner allowed us to check-out late as they did not have new guests arriving
The cons of staying at Mountain Time:
-The overall cleanliness was not up to our standards and we have stayed in many Air BnBs and VRBOs before. There were cobwebs and dead insects in many corners of the home, the screened-in porch was very dirty, the lid of the trash can was sticky and dirty, and we found long hairs (cat or dog?) on the windowsills, on the washer/dryer, etc. We contacted the owner on arrival to the house (~4p), who agreed to send her cleaner to the house. The cleaner arrived at 845pm, as my small kids were falling asleep, without calling to let us know in advance she would be coming at this time and asking if this was acceptable. When we stated that this was not an acceptable time to clean, the cleaner and the owner seemed annoyed. The cleaner did eventually come the next day and addressed some of the above-mentioned problem areas.
-The A/C is located in the kitchen in the front of the home and the back of the home (where the bedrooms are) gets very hot. One of the bedroom fans doesn't work, which made for hot nights.
-The home is on a big wooded property but the front of the property faces a major road and large shopping plaza, and you hear the loud noise from the street while sitting in the backyard.
