Villa Pilali

Bei unserem zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt in der Villa Pilali wurden unsere Erwartungen weit übertroffen! Die Villa selbst ist ein hervorragendes Zuhause auf Zeit: großzügige Platzverhältnisse, top ausgestattet, gemütliches Ambiente, tadellose Sauberkeit. Besonders genossen haben wir den schönen, regelmäßig gereinigten Pool mit Relaxzone und die praktische Outdoorküche für leckere Grillabende. Die Lage der Villa fanden wir ideal: Natürlich braucht man einen Mietwagen, aber damit erreicht man alle Orte der ja nicht kleinen Insel in maximal einer Fahrtstunde, viele auch deutlich schneller (z. B. die Hauptstadt in einer halben Stunde, Myrthos Beach in 10 Minuten). Man hat eine tolle Aussicht bis zum Örtchen Agia Efimia, ein frisches Lüftchen sorgt für Wohlbefinden auch bei hochsommerlichen Temperaturen, fußläufig erreicht man zwei sehr gute Tavernen mit traditionellen griechischen Spezialitäten (besondere Empfehlung: die geschmorte Lammkeule im "Black Sheep" - butterzart, ein Gedicht!). Das alles wird übertroffen von den Gastgebern: Frauke und Ody haben unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas wirklich Besonderem gemacht. Sie waren nicht nur gastfreundlich, sondern haben uns tatsächlich wie Freunde behandet! Als wir ein Problem mit unserem Mietwagen hatten, haben die beiden uns einen ganzen Tag lang kreuz und quer über die Insel kutschiert und mit ihrer Hilfe konnten wir alles gut lösen. Was für ein Engagement als Gastgeber! Danach gehörten wir ja fast schon zur Familie... ;-) Liebe Frauke, lieber Ody, wir danken euch sehr für diese besondere Urlaubserfahrung und hoffen, dass wir wieder einmal bei euch sein können. Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat!

הוילה היתה במיקום מצויין, אזור שקט ונעים, בערבים היתה רוח קרירה ונעימה. הבית היה נקי מאוד והתאים למשפחה עם 3 מתבגרים, מאובזר בכל מה שנדרש. בעלי הבית היו מאוד לבביים, הביאו לנו ירקות מהגינה וסייעו בכל הכוונה באזור. נשמח מאוד לחזור לבקר שוב בוילה.

Frauke & Ody’s place felt like a home from home. On arrival they gave us a very warm welcome and showed us around the house. At the front of the house are stunning views of the hills and valley, with the port of Agia Efimia in the distance. There’s a lovely big table on the front porch to enjoy the views at meal times. The house itself has an impressive open-plan kitchen/living room space with a super high ceiling. (A converted cheese factory.) The 3 bedrooms are nicely spaced apart, with the 2 downstairs being at either ends of the house (with 2 bathrooms in-between them). And the third, loft style room upstairs with an en-suite and mini balcony. The whole house has an airy, contemporary feel, whilst maintaining the atmosphere of a cosy home. Frauke & Ody also have a decent speaker/sound system which we put to good use :) The house is situated on a quiet road alongside a handful of other houses. There’s a small pool and wee patio with 4 loungers at the back of the house. For a delicious, traditional Greek meal, head to The Black Sheep. An intimate and atmospheric family-run taverna just a 10 minute walk away. Another great local spot for brunch/lunch is a 5 min drive (or 20ish min walk - albeit all roadside) to Myrtillo cafe. It looks unassuming from the outside but has a lovely big hidden garden out back. ‘Grandma’s eggs’ - dee-lish. We bumped into Frauke & Ody in a bar down in Agia Efimia one afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed their company. They have a wealth of knowledge about the island and were happy for us to pick their brains for tips on all of the hot spots. Thank you Frauke & Ody for being hosts with the mosts. Nothing we did not like.

The Villa was an oasis up on a hill with a constant breeze but close enough to access everything. The hosts were lovely and the facilities perfect.

We loved it all, no complaints.
