About this apartment rental
This is an attractive town house. Apartment 2 is advertised here. It can be rented for one week for €80 a night (June and September) €100 a night (July and August) and a small a local Tax du Sejour from La Mairie d'Eymoutiers.

Apartment 2 is on the second floor. It is spacious, with an indoor swimming pool and garden. The pool is heated only in the summer period.
It is located in Eymoutiers, one of the most beautiful heritage towns in Limousin, and it is only 30 minutes from the chic city of Limoges and 15 minutes from the wonderful beaches of Lake Vassiviere.
Apartment 2 has its own independent access from the front of the house. The comfortable lounge overlooks the tree-lined square to the front of the house. There is dining for six in the large well equipped kitchen. A washing machine is available in the kitchen..
The apartment has its own discreetly independent patio area in the garden, where there is a barbecue and comfortable garden furniture. The heated pool may be accessed directly from the garden and from inside the house.

Cycling: Bikes are available to hire in the area. Designated cycle routes through the local scenic countryside.
Walking/Hiking Enjoy walking through the beautiful scenic woodlands, green valleys and hillsides. Leaflets are available describing each hiking circuit. The local Club de Randonnee organises hikes on Thursday and Sunday afternoons.
Rock Climbing: Ten minutes to Bussy for rock climbing with a variety of grades.
Culture: This Limousin region of France has earned worldwide fame for craftmanship: enamelling, porrcelain, tapestry etc. A number of workshops give guided visits to these crafts.

We have recently returned from a week at this property and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take time out to relax, to experience living in a beautiful old town, to eat out in great restaurants on the doorstep, and to enjoy all that the nearby lake has to offer. Kate was a wonderful host and welcomed us warmly. The house had everything that we needed and the location was peaceful and rural but had the advantage of shops and restaurants and the beautiful river being in walking distance. The garden was very useful on hot days / evenings and the indoor pool was very lovely too. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a great stay Kate - we hope to meet John next time.

We had a very beautiful week at the house of Kate and John in Eymoutiers.
It is a big and old house in the centre of Eymoutiers but in a calm and quiet place. The apartment is nice and modern equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The nice swimming pool was the favourite place for the children, and the beautiful garden made the total house a relaxing place.
Kate and John are very friendly hosts and they made us feel very welcome from the moment of our arrival throughout the whole time. The provided lots of information about the town and the area and gave us many ideas of what we could do. Especially our children loved them.
In and around Eymoutiers there are many things to see and to do. We enjoyed the day at the lake Vassiviere the most. There are many attractions for children, too. One day we even drove to the cave of lasceaux which is about 2 hours away from Eymoutiers.
We would highly recommend the property as nice and relaxing place and as a fantastic base from which to explore this picturesque area of France.

We found Eymoutier to be an excellent place to base our holiday this year, lots to do nearby and everybody very friendly. John & Kate, the owners, have a superb old property that has been lovingly refurbished. All mod cons are there if you want them, however the apartments are very still spacious, immaculately clean and homely. Our daughter immediately fell in love with the heated indoor swimming pool and we were frequently dragged down for a swim & splash about. The gardens were very pretty with 3 seperate private areas.
John & Kate could not have been more helpful. We stayed in both apartments during our stay and thoroughly recommend La Jolie Maison for a Family Holiday, you will not regret it. Many thanks for our most successful holiday for years.
