The cottage was ideally located for Kielder Forest & Reservoir but also for exploring Hadrian's Wall, The Coast and lots of small historic towns such as Jedburgh, Hawick - the Walton Hall Park & Museum - especially the Walled Garden, incorporating a Community Growing Project! Belingham, has a CoOp store and a great Butcher who has a bread delivery, also a green grocer. Tea on the Train has amazing food or tea & scones, very welcome after a climb up 'Hareshaw Linn' through temperate rainforest to the top waterfall plunging into a chasm with a dark pool to swim in! Only 1.5m but unmissable. We had an old motorbike to explore on and we did clock up the miles but a bicycle for the moorland lanes and some exquisite wildflower meadows with curlews, lapwing and brown hares....

Delightfully situated cottage with glorious views when rain had passed. Easy access to a range of local 'must-see' attractions. Good walking country.The cottage itself is quite simple with all basic requirements appropriate to two adults. Perhaps it can be said that the accommodation is due for a little more TLC - e.g. Bathroom shower hose and head broken and slider cracked .Also condensation problem associated with water droplets condensing on toilet cistern and forming large puddles on floor at the toilet base. Signs of black mould as a result. Grab handles near bath would be a reassuring fitment. We enjoyed. our visit very much. Thanks.

Location was perfect to enjoy the sky at night. We loved having the sheep for neighbours at such a peaceful spot. The cottage had everything we needed and made a great base for exploring further afield.

We where looking for a relaxing stay and a good base to get out and about and we found it at Park Cottage. The cottage was lovely and clean and very well equipped lots of books and DVDs , we had our 6month old poodle with us and he loved the walled in garden felt very safe to let him into. A glance in the visitors book will give you lots of ideas were to visit and places to eat out. Thank You Jim and Brian for letting us share your little bit of Heaven Ann Viv and Ziggy

I had a lovely week in this beautiful cottage. It was well equipped and has stunning views. I loved the garden and I felt very safe there. Did some lovely walks around the area. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely cottage - great garden for dogs - completely secure and plenty corners and bushes to explore. Found a fairly quiet road for dog walks. Beautiful countryside.

A very pleasant stay in this clean comfortable and well equipped house. Cosy evenings by the fire watching some of its extensive DVD collection. Definitely visit the Pheasant Inn for great food - really recommend the game pie ( and fish pie). Also get some food to eat in from the Bellingham Craft Butchers and nearby Greengrocers - both sell exceptional local produce that put supermarket food to shame. We stocked up to bring some home. The local countryside is magnificent. We will explore more in our next visit.

A great place to stay ,if you want to chill out with a nice wine in the walled garden listening to all the birds singing this is the place to be. Holly bush pub nearby for a good meal and pint, the views from the cottage towards kielder are impressive ,with a great welcome from Jim this is a lovely place for a vacation thanks Brian

This was our 2nd stay at Park Cottage and we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect, tucked away, surrounded by gorgeous countryside. The cottage is very well appointed, with everything you need. Our dog loves having the freedom of playing in the secure garden. There is so much to do in the area, but it is also the kind of place where you can hunker down and snuggle up with the real fire all day if you want.

Enjoyed our stay in this cosy cottage, set in a beautiful location. Gorgeous enclosed garden for the dogs to enjoy . Very peaceful , but not far from Bellingham village which has lots of amenities. We visited Kielder forest, Housesteads Roman Fort site, and some of the surrounding villages where we enjoyed some lovely walks . Will definitely return to this little gem of a cottage..

I rented the cottage as a birthday Getaway for my partner. We were after a few days of relaxation and a break from our hectic working day to day and this beautiful cottage ticked every box and more. I couldn't of been more pleased and we will definitely be back. An idilic break, peaceful, beautiful, homely and I loved the little personal touch of a pint of milk, tea and coffee and a packet of biscuits waiting for us. The personal visit from Jim was also a lovely touch. The garden was beautiful and Disney like with all sorts of wildlife paying us a visit. Thankyou again Brian and we'll be booking soon to come back.

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful setting. Key in the door on arrival. Entrance through the unbelievably beautiful garden, with the car parked safely in a gated warehouse ( cattle on lain occasionally). Warm, thoughtfully fitted rooms, huge collection of books & DVD's. Couldn't be more comfortable with every whim catered for. Jim visited a couple of hours after we arrived and could not have been more inviting and informative. The Clean Sky rating for the area lit the sky with a myriad of stars. The first of more visits, I'm sure.

We loved Park Cottage and had a lovely welcome and support from Jim who managed the property. The location is stunning and the cottage is warm and cosy and has all you need. The only problem we had was that the settee was very low and lacked support for a ‘big lad’!
