We were very well taken care of by the host, who cooked us a warm meal personalised to our dietary requirements and sat with us to chat. He made sure we were happy and comfortable and talked to us about the area, making us feel very welcome.

Unique and thrilling, surprising warm and relaxing. But shared facilities and maybe broken sleep.

Unique experience, like no other. Be prepared for a youth hostel vibe in a lovely relaxing lodge. Food was great and home cooked. Our host was amazing.

But like a youth hostel the facilities were shared and limited. Only one shower for everyone etc. We slept well in the igloo, surprisingly toasty and warm. But door coverings were practically non existent so noise and light from outside came straight in. Could have been a thicker, wider curtain. Or door panel on the inside that you could move over to cover the entrance. Still didn’t stop the majority of us sleeping for most of the night!

The staff, specifically Jonas was extremely helpful and so accomodating, he really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We loved everything at Lucky Ranch, a real gem of a place.

I enjoyed everything regarding my stay at the Lucky Ranch Snow Igloos. I was very well welcomed. The owners treated me like part of the family and were super helpful . The place is spot clean and super cozy. Sleeping in the Snow Igloo is an unique experience and creates memories for a lifetime. I would love to come back to Lucky Ranch someday.

It was a lifetime experience to sleep in the igloo, social around the fire and have Anntie’s amazing food!!!

Once in a lifetime adventure

The snow igloo experience was amazing. The traditional Finnish sauna and the bath in the frozen lake were experiences we'll never forget. We made a very good choice with the traditional dinner - it's well worth it. The atmosphere in the LR Saloon is intimate and so friendly. And the scenery is like a fairy tale. We enjoyed it a lot.

it’s a great experience - definitely worth doing and the people at Lucky Ranch are fabulous

The owners are beautiful people! we loved meeting them and talking with them about their daily lives. we also got to meet all the other guests staying in igloos as you hang out in the common area together until it’s time for bed. I was perfectly warm in my igloo. it was a great experience While we were there we also went ice fishing and horse riding. There were quite a few activities you could do as well. it was also close to the ski fields.

They make the igloos from scratch and in many locations. my bed (and none of the other guests had this problem) was on a slope so I kept sliding off the bed and had to lean against the icy igloo wall. But my husband’s bed was fine.

Close to nature, perfect spot!

Magical place that everyone searching for a quite time should visit. The Host was helpful and allowed us to grill our self caught fish in the fireplace inside main building! :)

amazing place with amazing staff. initially was worried as we need to share the restroom and main area as we are used to travelling with private restroom. also, worried about the coldness but the thermal sleeping bags were very good my kids slept through the night (overslept) but the overall experience with other guest and interaction with the staff whom was so helpful and nice to show us around was fantastic

breakfast didn’t have enough food for certain items (eg ham) but overall is a must try experience when in that area!!!!

Our stay at lucky ranch was amazing! Anttii and Ano are the best hosts, they make you feel so welcome and are very attentive and helpful regarding anything you need! The ranch is magical, so much todo there. We stayed in the igloo one night it was one of the best experiences we have ever done in our life and highly recommend it. You don’t feel cold as you would expect to because they provide special sleeping bags and the saloon is open 24hours. The other nights we stayed in their cabins, they’re lovely and we also enjoyed Antis 3 course Finnish meal which was so delicious. We booked activities such as husky safari, snow trekking through the national park but apparently the horse ridding was amazing sadly we didn’t have enough time to experience that but extremely good reviews from other guest. Cannot recommend this place enough.

the experience of sleeping in an igloo was very nice. the bed was super comfortable and with the sleeping bags they gave us we slept like angels. the common area with the fire place is also very cozy and Anti and his family were super hosts! the place also offers a lot of fun activities to discover the surroundings. it was definitely worth the visit!

Nice experience

Great experience in the igloo, it was surprisingly comfortable and we were very warm in the sleeping bags. The sauna with the frozen lake behind it was really great (10€/pp)

Cushions and sleeping bags are aired but might not be washed between each guest. The free breakfast is not great, especially since afterwards they serve great brunches for a fee... But I would still recommend the experience

Wonderful experience

Wonderful experience! GPS guided us to wrong place first but we called the host who helped to find our way. The "base" was available to keep ourselves and our things (-18 outside) warm, to eat, shower and relax. Fireplace was nice. Breakfast a bit spartan though

Magical experience!

Super friendly host, gave us a tour of the ranch and even let us have the apartment in addition to our igloo which was so helpful. The igloo was so cosy and we have very warm sleeping bags that were provided. The view from the igloo of the lake was truly magical. Fully recommend the sauna and dinner experience, Annti is an amazing cook. The wilderness ski tour was such an amazing experience that we will treasure forever. Fully recommend this property and will be back!

a great experience to sleep at an ice igloo. the sleeping bags kept us warm during the night, although face can feel a bit cold so better if you have something to cover your face. The cafe is also a base camp. You can have dinner at the cafe if you book with the host. people are very friendly. It is also close to a ski resort. We did downhill skiing, cross country skiing and fat biking. A great fun!

We didn’t have a separate room to relax before going to the ice igloo. We stayed at the cafe before going to the ice igloo. The host didn’t mind us staying there, we didn’t mind too much about it either. However, if you want some privacy or you own warm space to relax, the cafe can be too public.

A fantastic location on the lake - we were even lucky to see the northern lights. The igloos are a work of craftsmanship and art! A must do in Lapland and one of the best sleeps we had on the trip! Antti was friendly and forthcoming. We even forgot our laptop and he helped us get it back.

Entspannt und unkompliziert

Wir waren insgesamt 3 Tage in der LuckyRanch - 1 Nacht davon im Igloo. Die Igloos sind liebevoll gestaltet und es war gemütlich. Das Basecamp war die ganze Nacht offen, d.h. man könnte auch mitten in der Nacht umziehen. Abendessen und Frühstück war auch sehr lecker. Wir haben die Snowmobiltour gemacht ( Cool!!!) und die Sauna genutzt. Wir hatten Glück und haben die Nordlichter gesehen! Antti und Anu und das gesamte Team waren immer sehr bemüht. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit!

Alles !!!!! Een origineel iglo. Dit moet je doen als je hier in Finland bent. Het is zeker niet koud door de perfecte kruik en slaapzak. De eigenaar is heel aardig en geeft je in de ochtend een ontbijtje.
