Although the hotel is a bit dated and clearly has some history, the room itself was surprisingly spacious. There is a private toilet in the room, while for showering, you need to use the shared public bath/onsen.

I loved that it was close to the ferry and the wee beach where we had a gorgeous swim. It was a place we felt we could relax in for a couple of nights after our full on travelling itinerary in more built up areas. We had the most incredible view from our room. The onsen was great and so relaxing. Food was excellent. Bike hire a bonus. Close to rabbit interaction enjoyment too. Staff were so kind and helpful in every way.
Don’t let it out you off but it is a little tired in terms of decor and needing a little investment in doing it up. However I still loved it and loved the character of the place. It wouldn’t put me off going back personally because of everything else positive it offered.

The location is what you pay for.
You need to really like the rabbits to stay there and enjoy it. My kids loved it and liked the evening meal and breakfast buffet.
The island is really run down. It hasn't been kept up.
The hotel is clean but it is stuck in the 90's.
There is nothing wrong or broken all is functional.
Outside of the hotel all is broken, not functional. When I went there was even electricity shortage due to a storm a month earlier. It is forbidden to swim in 2026 due to the electricity shortage.
We actually got lucky and could swim as the signs went up when we already finished our swim.

Relatively inexpensive, staff were nice and helpful
Considering they're the only place to stay on the island, the building seems quite old and the facilities seem a bit dated. Things worked, but like just bare minimum, which I suppose is why it costs what it costs.
