The owners were very nice ... they picked us up from the Ringebu station and also dropped us off at the station when we left. The Guest house was clean and well equipped, with toiletries, internet, fully equipped kitchen, utensils, plates, fridge and an upright freezer. The bathroom was functional and the washing machine was a life saver. The main bedroom upstairs has about 6 bunk beds and quiet spacious. The house was a refreshing change and having 100m2 was nice .. much better than being crammed into a 24m2 hotel room. If you have a car, this is a great place to stay with family and friends, peaceful and quiet, with lots of room for kids to go exploring the countryside :-). The guest house is located in a quiet location with nice scenery of the town and valley. There are many opportunities and routes for hiking can be taken. A short 5km drive or walk (mainly downhill) gets you into Ringebu town. Since it was July, one can stop and explore the main river that flows through Ringebu. We spent a couple of afternoons there lazing around dip our feet into the river to cool off. You will need bathing shoes to protect your soles and make sure that you don't slip. The town itself is compact but has the basic essentials. If you are a winter skier then this is one place where there is plenty of skiing opportunities, especially cross-country that one can do. Don't forget to visit the Ringebu Church since its an 800 year old historical sight. From Ringebu town you can either walk there or drive. While at the Church don't forget to drop into the former primary school, but its now a wood carving school, hand crafts centre and a place to buy incredibly tasty organic honey, which is made onsite by the owners. We bought a few jars since you can't buy this type of honey in major cities. For future visitors, please support this local business since the honey makes an excellent gift to friends and family. Definitely gets 9.5 in my books.

For some reason the property did not have a full range to TV channels only NRK but that did not stop us, if you have NetFlix, Disney+, Apple TV or some other streaming service provider then the lack of TV channels becomes a minor issue.

An electric dryer would have been nice, but the clothes line outside did the job just fine.

aircondition, fresh bedsheets, dishwasher available, lovely garden to look at, basic cabin was an experience for a night.

A little more care to dusting would had been appreciated. The kitchen cabinets held food out of date. Shower was not as pictures showed. Someone came home around midnight on a noisy vehicle that woke us. No proper blinds in the bedroom upstairs with double bed. We had not realized it was so far up the mountainside and with plenty of mosquitos so for us personally wasn’t the best spot but that’s on us.
