Tegolaio is a beautiful Villa originally converted from a tobacco barn, with landscaped gardens and a large private pool with incredible views over the valley to Tuscany and Umbria . It has been fully renovated to a very high standard, but retains original features and decorated with a homely feel. Tegolaio, offers 4 large bedrooms and a double sofa-bed in family area with adjacent bathroom , sleeps 10, with 4 bathrooms, lounge and dining room. The villa is located on the Tuscany / Umbria border, giving you the ideal opportunity to visit the wonderful surrounding hill top towns of Montone, Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Montepulciano, Arezzo and Siena . Tegolaio is ideal for groups and families and has everything required if travelling with small children including children's play area The perfect retreat to relax and enjoy the slow pace of italian life. There are shops and restaurants locally, and ideal for walking, cycling, golf, tennis, horseriding and there are watersports on nearby Lake Trasimeno.

Tegolaio is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in over many years of holiday rental. Beautifully equipped and maintained and professionally run to the last detail to ensure a perfect holiday for the whole family. We are 6 adults and a baby under 2 yrs who loved the children's facilities and the pool, that was safe and gated.
Lots of comfortable outdoor seating and loungers round the pool and different seating areas around a very peaceful garden.
Andrews attention to detail, the house instructions and directions to the house,
Lloyds local restaurant and places to visit guide guide we really enjoyed on days out. All helped make it a really wonderful stress fee holiday and would recommend it without hesitation.

Two families (8 people) spent a great week in Italy at this amazing Villa in Umbria. Hot days by the pool, walks and rides to the local town (San Leo Bastia). Villa has been re-furbished to a very high standard but has rustic Italian feel you would expect from a property in Italy. Extremely well equipped and the owners are very helpful and responsive. Great location to explore beautiful towns in Umbria and Tuscany.

We were 2 families with a mixture of adults teenagers and children and we all had a fantastic time at the Villa. The villa has a lovely pool area this is where we mostly spent our time but there areas all around the villa where you can relax. There is a small children's area with slide and swing for the little ones, the area outside the main doors has a large dining table where we often had lunch and dinner. Inside everything has been thought of, the kitchen has all modern appliances, lounge has Sky TV to keep the little ones entertained when they are tired. The surrounding area and gardens are beautiful so in keeping with the whole area. We went to the local restaurant in San Leo Bastia for one night where the food was very good, there was a local shop which sold enough food for when you first arrive and there are good supermarkets a few miles away, all this information can be found in the owners information pack. This a fantastic place for relaxing with the family and would highly recommend it.

We stayed a week in the property Tegolaio in July 2015. The place is absolutely stunning - located a little off the beaten track, but in a wonderful location. Wonderful house, pool area and outdoor dining area with a nice view to the surrounding hills. It is far more beautiful than the pictures show....
Owners have thought of every little detail. All rooms were well-equipped and you can see that they have catered for every little detail. Our group comprising 3 families and 5 small children were all very pleased with the stay. Pool is fenced off, so the children could not access the pool area. Also a very nice playground for younger children.
The way to the house from the village of San Leo Bastia can be difficult to find if you arrive late in the evening, but it does not take more than 5 minutes once you are familiar with the road.
It takes around 20-25 minutes to get to the highway and Perugia, Assisi, Arezzo, Trasimeno lake and Cortona can be reached within one hour.
We had dinner in a couple of the local restaurants and they were all nice and had very fair prices. There is a mini-market in the nearby village, but for real groceries shopping you will need to go 15-20 minutes by car.
