Terrazza Marina

Antonino is an amazing host - super communicative and friendly. The flat is big, spotless clean and fully equipped - with extra details such as milk, water and breakfast stuff. We had a rental car and found the location in Porto Empedocle so convenienti to visit the Valley of the Temples, Scala del Turki and Agrigento... we always found free parking in the backstreet behind the flat. I really recommend this place!

The apartment is located in the most beautiful part of the old town. The main balcony overlooks the statue of Pirandello in Via Roma which is a tree lined pedestrian street with bars and restaurants. The steps to the apartment lead down from some cheerful tiled steps onto Via Roma with its array of shops set below some picturesque apartments. There you can bump into the life size statue of Inspector Montalbano leaning against a lamp post. The old part of the town is full of character with beautiful buildings cheek by jowl with some shabby dilapidated buildings. You never know what you will find round every corner! There are lots of bars and restaurants. Café Elisir for example is a nice place both inside and out. Then there is Scrusciu du Mari, a café/bistro that serves food from 7.30 am and stays open to serve evening meals, including gluten free. There is a local supermarket near the harbour but I wouldn’t recommend it for fresh fruit. There’s a super greengrocer selling very fresh fruit and veg near to the harbour.

The risers on the first set of steps leading to the property are unexpectedly high.

Clean, spacious, well equipped in the Centre of town. Beds & pillow’s comfortable, lots of towels, 2 sets of keys etc. Great balcony & communications easy. We were met at the property & shown through. Thanks so much we had a wonderful stay!
