Unforgettable, a home away from home

They say Portofino is a pearl, well this place was a pearl in a pearl! Carlotta made us feel like family, so warm and welcoming, she is a gem! And little Yuri was the best doggie mascot ever, loved to say hello and keep you company. The property was beyond beautiful, so peaceful, the best views and adjacent to multiple trails of Parco di Portofino. We did a day hike trip to San Fruttuoso at the recommendation of Carlotta and it was the highlight of our trip - phenomenal views and great food. The breakfast provided was delicious everyday and we were able to cook in the cute kitchen whenever we felt like staying in. Bringing good quality shoes, like hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers, is a must for this area, there are rocky areas and a lot of up and down hills so walking around is not for the faint of heart. Good news though, Carlotta provides transportation whenever needed into and out of the city so you don't have to trek up the mountain if you don't want to. I have already recommended this location to several people and it hasn't even been a week since we left - you will not be disappointed in choosing Terre Rosse for your accommodations in Portofino.

Really wonderful little guest house up the hill from Portofino with views forever. A very lovely place to stay if you want to get away from the town and relax. This is the perfect place from which to explore the other towns by foot if you like to hike - next time we will come prepared to do that!

It would have been nice to be able to park our car at the house, but Charlotta made it very easy by picking us up in the town. Somehow we missed the instructions not to drive up the hill and made the mistake of driving up the hill. Not a good idea at all - the road is very small and there truly is no space for cars. This ends up being nice because no traffic = no noise!

Simply one of the best B and B experience we ever had !

The location is perfect to discover the beauty of Portofino natural parc ! « lost » on the top of the bay with wonderfull view over the sea and portofino ! Carlotta the owner / honey producer is the kindest person you will ever meet !!!! Breakfast is delicious and 100% freshly homemade ! specially recommended for people who like walking !! we hope to come back in the future !

Amazing stay among bee hives, olive trees and with an amazing view.

The host is amazing, with the Fiat Panda shuttle experience, the explanations of the activities in the region and the bee hives and other agriculture activities of the family. The delicious breakfast on the terrace was also a fantastic experience. We really enjoyed our stay and we can only recommend this place to visit Portofino (reachable 15min by foot or 5min by the Fiat Panda) and San Fruttuoso (1-1.30h by foot), or just to relax.

Feel at home in paradise

We loved our one night stay beyond words. It was our first holiday with our two-month old baby and it couldn’t be better: incredible viewpoint, calm garden, giant breakfast, useful kitchen for our small romantic diner. Carlota, the host, is so truly generous and welcoming, she even helped me cook good pasta for us!! We can’t recommend this place enough and would love to go back!

Fantastic views

Great views, sweet breakfast, lovely host Carlotta who showed us her olive trees and bees and with her special asset: Panda 4x4 , we loved it all very much! We did the nice hike to Abbazia di San Fruttuoso and back to Portofino by boat, that is just great!

Man kam an und es war sofort sehr familiär. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend und es gab viele Plätze sich diese auf dem Gelände anzuschauen. Die Besitzer waren ebenfalls sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und man durfte sich wirklich wie zuhause fühlen. Obwohl wir nur kurz da waren hat der Urlaub aufjedenfall viele schöne Erinnerungen hinterlassen.

A refaire, un très bel équilibre entre nature, retraite, culture et mélange.

L'emplacement à l'écart et dans les bois est magnifique. Il permet de faire des belles marches et d'avoir une très belle vue. On se sent également plus ancrées au lieu et moins en milieu des touristes. Les hôtes sont splendides.

Da ritornarci assolutamente.

Fantastico weekend, rilassante ma sopratutto rigenerante! La posizione è invidiabile. Situato nel promontorio di Portofino, è stato un ottimo punto di partenza per fare delle belle passeggiate. È immerso nel verde, tutto molto curato nei minimi particolari, con una vista mozzafiato su tutta la baia di Portofino, con paesaggi da cartolina. Carlotta, la proprietaria, insieme a Marco ti fanno sentire a casa, sempre pronti a soddisfare, nei limiti del possibile, le nostre esigenze. Fantastica l'esperienza della smielatura; infatti abbiamo assistito "in diretta" a questa delicata operazione fatta da Carlotta, che con le sue api produce un miele delizioso! Ne abbiamo acquistato subito un paio di vasetti! Ottimo punto di partenza per raggiungere le spiagge di Paraggi, San Fruttuoso, Portofino e Santa Margherita Ligure. Comodissima e carinissima la stanza, con vista incredibile sul mare. Abbiamo avuto a disposizione una bella cucina, lettini sui prati all'inglese curatissimi, tavoli e ombrelloni. Non potevamo chiedere di più. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!
