We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay at this lovely gite, located in a beautiful rural setting. It was well located for exploring inland and coastal areas of Normandy and Brittany. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was very wheelchair friendly , with a large downstairs bedroom and adjoining bathroom. There was a gap between the floor and the bed to accommodate our hoist. Our hosts, Julie and James were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thank you very much.

Julie and James very much left us to enjoy the property but they were available if we needed them. They were very supportive of our needs. It is a spacious property, very suitable for a wheelchair user (our daughter). The property is set in a beautiful rural location with a lovely view. The nearby town and shops are approximately 5 mins away by car. The wifi was very reliable and had a good srrong signal. It is so nice to find an accessible cottage in france. We would definitively recommend this property to others.

Julie and James were very kind and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and loved seeing the sheep, feeding the chickens and playing with the dogs, especially Darcy. The Gite is well set up for disabled people. It is in a perfect situation for a relaxing stay. We would love to go back.

This gite was perfect for our holiday, it is in a fabulous location, quiet but close (5 minutes) to a large town but in a beautiful rural setting. Lots of attractions nearby, amusement parks for the children, great beaches and close enough to the Normandie D Day sights should you feel like a day trip. The hosts were excellent, attentive when required but otherwise left us to enjoy our break. If you need a gite with plenty of space for a disabled guest, then this is your place!

Peaceful Accessible Property
Well appointed, everything required for a wheelchair user. Comfortable living room. Friendly informative hosts live next door with 2 friendly wee dogs that came to visit daily. Kitchen scraps fed to the chickens and goats added to our enjoyment.
The gite is a good position for visiting Normandy, Northern coast is achievable too.

Beautiful rustic converted barn . Wonderful out door space . Ideal for children.
We had a wonderful time and we loved the animals . James and Julie we friendly and welcoming. The lower level was very accessible for my son's wheelchair unfortunately the shower was not due to the design. Toilet ideal . Top tip take a portable shower chair . It's fine if you are not confined to a wheelchair. Definitely wI'll be returning. But will be bringing fly spray as they were a pain due to heat and animals but can't be helped

Spotless,and so peaceful!
Hi,
We stayed here for 10 nights in mid June 2018. As a party of four, all comfortably over 60,we were looking for a peaceful, quiet holiday. We got it,in bucketfulls, and i doubt if there are better hosts than James and Julie Foster. It is 7 minutes to the the supermarket,a good sized LeClerc, where we stocked up every couple of days. We loved it,and it worked out very well for my wife, who is wheelchair bound with Parkinsons. As for the weather,we had sun, sun, and more sun every day-not one drop of rain. We will be backBob,Frances,Sheila and Phyllis.

Lovely quiet cottage
Good clear instructions to find Gite from Owners.
It was clean and tidy and suited our needs with the owners very close by if needed.
Disappointed that the local restaurant with the great reviews was closed so we will have to return to try it again!
Thanks for the loan of a bike too which we used every day when we were out and about.

Relaxing break in idyllic surroundings
Prior to booking we corresponded with Julie, the responses were always very quick and helpful, answering our questions about the area.
On arrival, we were warmly greeted by James, who gave us a tour of the "Gite", and covered how to use the cooker etc.
It was a warm sunny day and the french doors were open on to the huge garden, really welcoming. This is where we met our first animal friend...Lily the goat!
The Gite itself was very clean and had plenty of space, it had everything we needed for our stay. There were 6 of us in total, 4 adults and 2 children,(and our 2 dogs). The huge landing area at the top of the stairs meant that the children essentially had separate bedrooms too.
Because of the good weather, we spent a lot of the time in the garden, having a BBQ (with wine) in the evening, and playing table tennis matches, with the children enjoying the swing and trampoline. However the most favourite past-times were feeding Lily bread, and our leftovers to the family pig! She had a good supper on our last evening!!
The main town is only about 5 drive minutes away, with plenty amenities, including a supermarket....we loved wandering around there, and enjoyed market day (Wednesday morning). We also took the recommendation of Julie and James and visited the very traditional "Chez Agnes" restaurant in Lapenty for lunch. This was an experience we loved, and very rustic French....food and wine delicious. I am sure we provided the entertainment for the local farmers, as our French was limited! We walked there and back through the orchard, with beehives, took just under 30 mins each way from the Gite.
Sad to leave, wish we could have stayed longer, and would have no hesitation in recommending lovely area, and this little slice of Normandy countryside to friends and family.
Thanks Julie, James and family, for helping us enjoy a lovely family holiday....hopefully we get the chance to return one day.

Delighful and Relaxing French Retreat
Before we even arrived, Julie and James could not be more helpful. We sent many e-mails asking a variety of questions, which were always responded to promptly and contained valuable information.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and immediately felt part of their 'extended' family. The gite is fully equipped, spacious, clean and has everything you could possibly need (including the use of linen and towels). The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. There is loads for children to do including the use of a large trampoline, swings, hammock and even farm animals that they can feed and pet. The games room, containing a full-size pool table, massage chair and xbox, was a real treat.
The local town, only a 5 minute drive away, has a large supermarket, a variety of shops and some lovely restaurants. We also visited many attractions, including a zoo, theme park, waterfalls, fort and markets, which again, were a short drive away. The gite is in a perfect location!
In total, there were 4 adults and 2 children in our group and there was more than enough room for all of us. We only stayed for 1 week and wished we had stayed for longer.
Thank you so much Julie, James, Ella and Fleur for such a wonderful holiday, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all! I will be recommending this holiday venue to all of my friends and family. We will definitely be returning again!

Dejligt ophold ude på landet
Skøn feriebolig med masser af plads til familien - og de engelske værter bor next door. Autentisk og hyggelig atmosfære udenfor lille landsby. Dyr på gården og stor have med græsplæne og numighed for grill.
