Fantastic way to end a long European holiday

We arrived at Porsenna after travelling around Europe for 6 weeks. The moment we drove down the drive and saw the villa and surrounding area we instantly felt relaxed. The hosts meet us to show us around the villa and to explain how everything worked. They were very welcoming and also available throughout our stay to answer questions and to resolve any unforeseen issues. The villa had all the essentials for a relaxing stay and the breakfast supplies were plentiful. We ate mostly on the terrace to enjoy the view. The villa is situated in a fantastic position and only 5 minutes walk to the historic town of Chiusi, where you can wander the streets and enjoy great food and wine, visit the local museum or try your hand at making ceramics. The villa is also only a 30-minute or so drive to other local towns that we enjoyed exploring. We especially enjoyed the pasta cooking class. During our stay we also got to experience the annual Chiusi grape and wine festival.

The mosquitos which we resolved with repellant. Note: the steps from the living area to the bedrooms are quite steep with no handrail so not the best if you have mobility issues, but good excuse to hold hands.

Cosy Villa next to Cute Historyful Italian City

Cosy villa next a cute italian city of Chiusi. Placed in a beautiful valley - far enough from city to be quiet, peaceful and in nature - close enough to walk to the old town of Chiusi every evening. Wonderful views from the terrece (and bathroom!), spectacular garden. Best place to relax I was ever in. Helpful and caring owners :)

Beautiful, quiet, relaxing home

The host met us at the property to provide keys and an introduction to the villa and all of its wonderful amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the exterior of the property - the current photos don't do it justice! We loved exploring down to the gardens and orchard of olive trees. The rooms were downstairs and main living upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast and we made dinner one night too. It was lovely to relax on the patio upstairs and lounge on the lawn too. The location on the edge of Chiusi was perfect - away from people, but close by to restaurants. It far exceeded my expectations based on the limited photos on this listing. Would happily stay again if we are lucky enough to return to Tuscany.

The windy staircase was a bit hard to navigate - but sometimes I'd go outside and up the drive to reach the kitchen.

Highly recommend!

The peaceful countryside so close to the centre of town was wonderful. The property has character and comfort and you have the whole villa to yourselves. Our google maps couldn’t quite locate the property so get clear instructions if driving. But very simple once you know! Great views from the terrace. We would love to return one day.

a beautiful and comfortable villa with wonderful view, exceptional privacy and very nice hosts.

The house, garden and surroundings are very beautiful. Our hosts met us at the town despite our late evening arrival and guided us to the villa. They also brought us all we needed for breakfast.

To go to the town center by foot, you have to be in a good shape - there is a pretty tough upward slope. We used our car even for close-by outings.

Best place to spend your summertime in Italy!

Exceptional and unexpectedly big property, exactly how you would imagine Tuscan countryside and more, as it includes very well equipped (2 bathrooms, air conditioning, big kitchen etc.) and nicely designed clean interiors. Peaceful and quiet, great weather mid-August. You can have your buffet breakfast and coffee outside everyday with the sun shining around a green garden with a lot of flowers, herbs, fruits and olive trees. The owners were very kind to share with us their freshly picked tomatoes straight from the bush growing by the house (and those were delicious!). Perfect place for people looking for a quiet place surrounded by nature, full privacy guaranteed. Good starting point to visit nearby cities and lakes in Tuscany and Umbria for some sightseeing. Pro-tip: if you are a 5* hotel lover and afraid of fauna usual for countryside (small spiders, lizards, mosquitoes) - it’s better for you to book a hotel instead. This property does not deserve negative opinions because you found a spider or were bitten by a mosquito. Your lack of research is not their fault. Pro-tip 2: if your driving skills are poor and you are renting a car in Italy - make sure you are okay with steep driveways. This property includes one and Chiusi city is also full of narrow steep streets. For self-aware travelers this is will be a very rewarding experience. Highly recommended!

Wunderschöne Villa im der Toskana

Die Lage des Hauses ist toll. 5 Gehminuten in die Altstadt von Chiusi, aber völlig im Grünen und sehr ruhig. Schöner Garten, tolle Terrasse. Die Wohnung ist gross, modern und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert gut. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Die Zufahrt kann für sehr große Autos eventuell etwas eng werden. Wir hatten Probleme, die mit den Straßen -Arbeitern zusammenhingen, aber Nicola und Nives, die uns betreut haben, waren super hilfreich und sehr sehr nett und immer erreichbar! Danke nochmals ! In Chiusi gibt es einige tolle Restaurants und auch im nahen Umfeld ( ca 10 Minuten mit dem Auto) haben wir toll gegessen! Italienisches Frühstück haben wir uns fast täglich in der Bar Centrale in Chiusi gegönnt - lecker und herrlich untouristisch! Wir hoffen, wieder zu kommen!

Wir hatten leider Pech und ein Tag wurde durch Lärm einer nahen Baustelle verdorben - da sind wir dann weggefahren und haben was unternommen.

Nádherně klidne misto.

Velmi krasne misto, čistota, milý a ochotny majitel. Vybaveni domu naprosto dostacujici, velmi pohodlne.

Je zde celkem slozity, uzky prijezd, meli jsme velke auto s privesem a nebylo to jednoduche. S pomoci majitelu jsme to ale zvladli. Je dobre to konzultovat predem.
