Recently during a trip to La Paz my family had the fortune to stay in two of Marlene's Puerta Cortes properties. Both of the condos were amazing and exceeded our expectations. We felt spoiled by the views and luxury of our accommodations. The Puerta Cortes Resort area is very secure and filled with amenities so that no one in our group wanted to leave. The pools, beach, and landscaping are all jaw dropping. Marlene was so easy to work with and made sure that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Next time we are in La Paz we hope we are lucky enough to return to Marlene's condos.
Beach, Pool, Golf Course and Numerous Amenities
Whether you are a sport fisher-person looking for the next big catch, a scuba diving enthusiast, a golfer or just looking for a relaxing vacation, Puerta Cortes Resort has something special to offer you and your family. My husband and I own 4 rental properties which are located at Puerta Cortes Resort (formerly CostaBaja Resort and Marina). Three of our units are located within the marina area (Pueblo Marinero) and the 4th unit is located in the hillside subdivision of (Las Colinas).
Pueblo Marinero #501 Condo is ideally located right in the heart of the marina village overlooking the the world-class 250-slip double basin marina and the turquoise sea beyond. The Gary Player Signature Golf Course views are breathtaking from this unit. The condo is a 1-bedroom, 1 bath, featuring a king bed, fully equipped kitchen with a living/dining area, stacked washer-dryer, large extended terrace, WiFi, air conditioning and a reserved parking space. The condo is located up one flight of stairs. There is-no elevator.
There are many wonderful amenities that will be at your disposal at the resort.
There are many wonderful amenities that will be at your disposal at the resort. As a guest of my condo you have access to the Puerto Beach Club which is located only a few feet away. This club features lounge chairs and tables positioned right on the beach and close to the water line. Included at this beach club is a pool, Jacuzzi, fire-pit, restaurant/bar, a designated treelined dining area and the ability to schedule spa services right on the beach front or at the Espiritu Spa located within the hotel. The spa offers a full array of services. The resort administrator also has extended pool access at the Indigo Hotel where you can enjoy a leisurely swim. Gym access is available through the hotel, and tennis court times can be scheduled at the beach club.
In addition to the above amenities my guest can play golf at the private El Cortes Golf Club, a Gary Player Signature Course rated one of the ‘Top-Ten’ courses to play in Mexico. There is also a fun (Pitch & Putt) course to play. At the golf club enjoy dining at the Cardon Restaurant. Also take in the magnificent views of the Bay of La Paz as well as the city landscape in the distance. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Bring a camera – it’s the perfect photo opportunity.
Puerta Cortes Resort has two marinas, open-air restaurants, a mini-market, a medical clinic, 24-hour security, as well as numerous charter companies that provide adventure tours for diving, kayaking, swimming with the whale-sharks and snorkeling with the sea lions. Just north of the resort lies Isla Espiritu Santo, where you'll discover one of the greatest marine reserves in the world.
The City of La Paz is a charming colonial city with approximately 290,000 people. Enjoy strolling along the boardwalk “Malecon” located right along the waterfront, visit the local farmers market, galleries, cafes- restaurants and the Cathedral. Or take a drive to Todos Santos, a picturesque artistic community that’s only 50 miles away. La Paz is a premier vacation destination with many options for you to choose from. This place was truly a gem. From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome and was exceptionally communicative and accommodating. She was so kind and flexible, working around our check-in and check-out times, which made our stay even more stress-free.The location couldn’t have been better—centrally located in the Marina, it made getting to some of the best restaurants in the area a breeze. We enjoyed dining out every night, knowing we were just minutes away from top spots.One of the highlights of our stay was the club pool. It was simply amazing—serene, with excellent poolside service, and the peacefulness of being at a private, members-only venue made it feel extra special.To top it off, we arrived to find a thoughtful complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us, a perfect touch to begin our stay. All in all, it was a peaceful, tranquil experience that we won’t forget. Highly recommend!

Great location with really good restaurants underneath. Beach club was nice. Condo was perfect for two people and clean. Could use a little TLC and updating but nothing too major. Marlene was excellent to deal with and very quick to respond. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The unit is even better in person, with spacious open living area and nice view of inner marina. Good restaurants and coffee shops located in marina within steps of unit. The spa at the resort was excellent and the two pools are wonderful. The host was responsive to our questions. We will definitely try this again on our next visit.

I've stayed in several other condos in the complex during the many trips I've made down here and this one was my favorite. It is very tastefully decorated by someone who knows how to make things look nice. I really appreciate when an owner puts effort into taking their place beyond "functional" and considers the value of aesthetics. For location, price, amenities, and decor, you can't beat it!
