Villa Alegre - Private pool, Games, Ac, Smart tv, Bbq

A bit dated in places but good for a 2 week stay, good location with 2 good restaurants a 4 min walk away, good base to explore the Algarve by car.

Loved this villa and have recently booked to return in 2026. Located in a very quiet area and easily commutable by car or Uber to nearby Albufeira, Marina and numerous nearby supermarkets, the home was really well equipped for everything needed for a comfortable stay. The air-con throughout was excellent and the pool (despite some negative reviews) had clearly been refurbished.We had the best stay here and while we considered stopping at neighbouring villas next time, our stay here was perfect.We had an issue with the water, which was out of the hosts control which affected all surrounding villas (due to some water works nearby) but the host was very responsive in the early hours when I did message, which did not tarnish our stay.I have never returned to the same place, but this is an exception. I can't wait to return in 2026.

Just returned from a 2 week stay - 4 adults and a 15 and 11 year old. We stayed at the larger villa opposite last year but wanted to return to the area as a smaller party so chose this villa. The area is just perfect. Quiet and relaxing but close enough to busier places. We stayed for 2 weeks with no car. You can Uber to anywhere. We ventured to Albufeira, the marina (highly recommend), Armação de Para, Gale etc and had no trouble getting a 7 seater Uber. Aldi is a 10 mins walk away (just Uber back with larger shopping amounts). You can get the big red open top bus from down by the Salgados hotel which is good to explore the local area and goes all the way to Villamoura. Dolphin and caves boat trip is also a great trip (booked online with Seacre). The villa has everything you need. Be aware that there is nothing on your arrival - no water, basics such as as oil, condiments, dishwasher tablets etc so you do need to do a supermarket run as you arrive. The only thing I would say is to echo what others have said about the pool. There are tiles missing from the bottom (I caught my feet a couple of times) so it is in need of some repair but this wouldn’t stop me booking the villa again. There are only 5 loungers but there were 6 of us and the umbrellas definitely need replacing. There also aren’t enough of them. By 2pm there is little shade and it was very hot. When the pool water went a funny colour, the pool guy came the next day after I reported it. A fabulous holiday!
