Year Round Cabin Living. Come Relax at The Pines

Clean and beautiful cabin. We always enjoy this cabin when we come! Will be back again!

Very clean and modern.

Our whole family loved our stay. 2 adults, 2 kids (6yr&7yr). Loved our early morning coffee on the porch, early morning fishing, campfire cooking, and the hot tub. The mountain bike trail close to us was quite overgrown, but there are some amazing parks nearby (Fitzgerall is ~5mins) with great hiking, biking trails, and beaches. Got local frozen custard one evening. We also rented a pontoon at the marina for a day and spent it out on the water fishing and enjoying the sun. Catfish were the best biters and were loving the minnows. Also found a walking trail down by the dam, right by a spillway, and spontaneously found a trail down to the water where there were some huge carp and some small bass. Cabin was really great. It felt like the most private of the three as it's tucked back a little more. Staff routinely checked in on us to make sure everything was fine, even dropped off firewood when we needed it, and gave us recommendations for activities. The first day we got there, there was an awful burnt rubber/gas smell, but apparently there had been some men working on the nearby oil rig the day before we got there. The smell was close to gone by the second day. There were a few bugs in the cabin, which is to be expected in the woods, but thankfully all were dead due to it being sprayed well. The cabin has the most basic amenities so prepare for that. Kitchen appliances are fridge, oven/stove, microwave, and coffeemaker. Plates, bowls, cups, silverware, a few cooking utensils, basic pots and pans, one sheet pan, one pizza pan, one big measuring bowl, one big tupperware bowl, a few roasting rods for marshmallows. That's it. There aren't any staple pantry items so plan food accordingly. (Dollar general and walmart are nearby.) Also, there are no grilling utensils which made cooking over the campfire a bit of an adventure. We did buy a cast iron skillet we plan on leaving in the cabin to help bless following guests for more campfire meal possibilities (but you'll need to routinely season it with oil...which is not in the cabin). Fire pit has a grill overtop that swivels, nice touch.Everyone around town is so nice and helpful. Was a great stay. Nice for us it wasn't too far away to drive. We will come again!
