Cute guesthouse, but a bit ill equipped.

It was an apartment, which was nice, and a pretty backyard. The people were very nice and responsive to what I realized I didn't have things I needed like almost no toilet paper when I arrived. And brought me a sweet as a welcome gift. It was very near the old market.

There was no television and not even a radio… That was OK for one night, but if I had planned on staying here since there was a kitchenette, it would've been pretty quiet. One of the doors was missing on the shower so it was hard to keep from getting the floor wet when I took a shower.And the kitchen was pretty sparse. But I was only there for one night so not really planning to cook anything. I wouldn't want to stay here for very long. I have been traveling and sleeping in a lot of different beds in different hostels as I have been here in the Balkans for many years, and I have to say I have never complained about a bed, but I simply could not sleep in this one. It was strange. Almost like a camp mattress or something. I tried sleeping on the sofa, but that was just as hard, so I finally pulled down the backs off of the sofa, which at least had a bit of contour to them and slept on those for what was left over the night.

Fantastic place

Egzon is very kind, thoughtful and welcoming host. He waited for us even though we arrived very late. We received useful tips and had a great time exploring the charming city. The place is well equipped and the garden is a very nice touch.

Incredible experience. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We LOVED our time here! We have only wonderful things to say! The kindest hosts, a spacious guesthouse, private parking behind a locked gate, and so much more! We truly felt at home here. I could go on and on about how many ways they went above and beyond. This was not just a place to sleep, but our time talking with the hosts and being at the property was one of the overall highlights of being in Gjakove! We felt so cared for, hospitality at it's finest! We would go back to Gjakove just to be able to stay here again! If you are traveling to the area, look no further, STAY HERE!!

There is not a single thing that we didn't love about this place! The only thing we would change is that we wish we could have stayed for a week instead of only two nights! We're convinced this is the best place to stay in town!

Wonderful Hosts with a wonderful Guesthouse.

Really wonderful hosts who went out of their way to provide information, and help us while we spent a rest day from bike packing in their lovely Garden Guesthouse. Great secure parking for our bikes in the property courtyard. Just really nice people.

We absolutely recommend this accommodation!

In every sense (historical, cultural, culinary, etc.) Gjakove is a very remarkable city. You will meet only nice and humorous people there. This accommodation is perfect for getting to know the city because it is close to the most important things. The hosts are exceptionally nice people with whom it is nice to talk. We can only recommend!

Quiet stay very close to the city center.

Top location: close to shops, bars and restaurants but yet very quiet at night. Parking spot inside the gate. Very friendly English speaking host. Mama brings you fresh picked fruit from the garden. Strong WIFI.

The shower is missing one door so the bathroom gets wet. Top: the house has no number so look for the car gate at your left with a very small name plate “nr 20 familia …” on it.

The only place to stay in Gjakove

Excellent granny flat in the hosts garden. The photos don’t do it justice. We were on our tandem hike and could lock it safely in the garden overnight. Everything within walking distance. Host was lovely. She gave us fruit from her garden when we were eating breakfast on the outdoor seating area.

Ideal for families to visit Gjakove

Very warm welcome, we even received a piece of birthday cake because the birthday party of the son was going on. Location very convenient, you can walk to the old bazaar in a few minutes. The owner was very helpful and could recommend several restaurants and bars. You get a small house in the garden of the family. There's lots of privacy and your own fridge.

We wish we stayed more than 1 night in Gjakove.

Very nice. It's a guest house in the garden. Very quiet. Very spacious. You have a sleeping room and living room with a kitchen. Owners are very friendly and helpful an up for chatting a little bit and treat you with sweets and homemade lemonade. And for me who travelled with a motorcycle, a save place to have it parked.

This place is simply heaven! A charming, oasis of calm, in a stunning garden, right I the heart of the town. Amazing hosts made me feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent place, quiet and close to the city center. Very comfortable and clean little house with everything you want (comfy beds, nice bathroom, kitchen corner with sink, fridge, kettle, cooker, mini oven and microwave) and amazing hospitable owner - when we came she even served us coffee with some local sweet! We spent there only one night but it is a great option for a little longer stay - there is a garden in which you can spend time in quiet and privacy.
