The room did not meet the pictures or expectations.

The room was too small only one small bed smaller then a twin too small for 2 people when requested a bigger the price was more then double.

Wonderful stay and highly recommended

I loved my time at Hotel Santiago. It is comfortable and perfectly located next to the cathedral and square with all the main sites and activities just at a few meters. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great location and rooftop

The location is excellent and the staff were all very nice and helpful. The rooftop is wonderful and you can bring your own food and drinks there. The beds were very comfortable.

Our room was an inside facing room. There was a window, but barely any natural light came in.

it was the worst stay at any hotel I have had for quite some time!

Nothing but the lacation

The music from across the street was so loud till two in the morning then all you could do was lay there and hear the workers that park their motorcycles on the street leave one by one for the next hour till three in the morning, that’s when the garbage truck showed up to dump the trash for five minutes then at 7 o’clock in the morning you could hear the water trucks come to deliver the water that run 5 hp motors that sit on the back of the truck running for 20 minutes and then by 8 o’clock the workers who are arriving back at the restaurant across the street where the music played till two in the morning started playing music again at 8 o’clock in the morning very loud while they were setting up the restaurant for the day to begin!

Great location but very noisy.

Fantastic location right next to the main square. Good view of the cathedral from the roof terrace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom was a decent size and the shower was good. The place was spotlessly clean and the room servicing excellent.

The bedroom had all you needed but was small and a little stuffy - no air con and the window only opened on to an enclosed space. The bed was a very small double and not that comfortable with a strange mattress cover that squeaked whenever you moved. Big problem though was the noise - you could hear everything from adjacent rooms and corridors. On our last night (a Friday) there was also the relentless thudding of music from a bar/club nearby that went on until after midnight. We didn’t sleep well any night unfortunately. The noise is the main reason for the low score.

Its okay but the location is the best part

The place is clean and the staff was really nice. The facility is one block away from the zocalo and right next to many great restaurants.

The walls are really thin and you can hear everything, even when people are whispering outside in the hallway. The bed is not comfortable and really hard.

Location was great. The room was clean and maintenance was very good, housekeepers came daily. That’s what I liked most about the hotel.

The people at the front desk were of little help whe answering questions. In fact no help at all. When I asked about a tour of Puebla, they gave me one choice and it was the price for two people. It would only be one person but I would have had to pay for two! I walk 1/2 a block and there were tour bus on the plaza to many places in Puebla at a fraction of the cost. When asked about times buses left for Mexico City, they told me to go on line. That kind of info should have been readily available, like, they leave every 1/2 hour. I give them a one star on their help. Walls were thin and you could hear the people in the next room, you could hear word for word. At 3 am, I had to knock on the wall to have persons next door keep it down.

Perfect location in Puebla

The room was clean, comfortable and fairly spacious but the real reason for staying here is the location. Just a few steps from the main square and cathedral make it super convenient for everything.

Location, location, location - one half block to the zocolo, but it wasn't very noisy. Great roof-top deck. Room was on the small side, but just fine for a solo traveller (a couple would find it ok too(. Frienly staff, not too much English spoken, but we muddled by with my limited Spanish. (thanks Google translate). Coffee available in the lobby in the AM (not the greatest & only coffee creamer - but hey, better than nothing!) I asked for a room on the top (5th) floor - room 503) and that was a good choice. Excellent value for the monehy

The price is cheap and the room was impeccably clean, if small and characterless. staff were friendly and helpful.

Very cheap mattress and pillows - not great with a bad back. The parking is two blocks away and we had to leave the keys to our rental with the valet parking - not convenient for being tranquil with our luggage or being able to access our things. But the killer for us was the constant noise - local bar playing music until gone 1am; the lobby fountain is audible in the bedroom and our room was facing a motorcycle parking bay so it was like trying to sleep on a drag strip. The music and drag strip started again at 6.15 am. Sorry but No view of the cathedral or towel folded as an elephant makes up for no sleep…

1. Housekeeping tried to open the door at 8:30AM without knocking when I was sleeping; 2. All services come with tips; 3. Extremely noisy. There is a bar across the street playing music 24/7, making it impossible to sleep. Inside the hotel is also very noisy.

Guests with kids were loud. Walls weren't really sound proof. All channels on TV were in Spanish, no international news or english channels.
