Villa Larius Balcone

The apartment was clean, comfortable, light and airy and was ideally located with a bus stop and restaurant just across the road. The apartment also had a lovely view of Lake Como. The swimming pool and gym that were available for us to use were clean and very enjoyable.

1. The apartment description claimed there was “Free Public Parking” nearby, and the instructions were received directed us to public parking spaces across the road from the apartment. Sadly ALL those parking spaces are paying ones at the rate of €1.5 per hour for 21 hours a day for 5 days a week (I.e.€31.5 per day per car) !!! The supposedly free parking spaces could not be found anywhere within walking distance of the property !!! This is therefore a misrepresentation of the property’s claimed facilities. 2. There were NO instructions as to where to get rid of accumulated rubbish or waste food. When we first contacted the agent about this they promised to send us instructions, instead they sent someone to collect the waste. When we contacted the agents again later in the week regarding the newly accumulated rubbish (the provided bins were small) they suggested we should just keep the rubbish in the apartment until the end of our 8 days’ stay !!! Given the extreme heat and lack of storage space this would have been very unhygienic. It was only after pointing this out that the agents sent someone to collect the waste. 3. The local agent also undertook to deliver a broom to enable us to keep the living area of apartment swept but that never materialised !

Facilities especially the pool. Lake Como is lovely.

Taxis were very expensive.

Ruim appartement met mooi zicht op comomeer, ruim terras achteraan naar hoger gelegen patio en toegang tot mooi groot zwembad.

Geen airco dus slapen met ramen open, maar slaapkamer aan straatkant veel lawaai van Osteria tot 01.00u en 's morgens verkeer vanaf 7h-8h, onmogelijk te parkeren tenzij betalend 25€/dag (stond anders aangegeven in booking), geen nabije warenhuis of bakker. Er was ook een lokale 'Karen' die het duidelijk had voor toeristen in 'zijn' appartementsblok.

Beautiful views

No iron and no supplies of cleaning products at all. Requested both to no avail, communication was not great. Very difficult to get transport and super expensive.
