What you have always imagined for a holiday in Chianti, near Florence but in the midst of nature, is what you will find in Il Cavato
A building complex dating back to 1300, born as a military outpost to safeguard the valley
The place boasts ancient origins since the Etruscan era.
The property has been recently restored and divided into 4 residential units, all independent with their own entrance and private garden.
The view extends to Florence and goes beyond it to capture the Tuscan Apennine Mountains
The surrounding land is partly left in the woods partly cultivated with olive groves and vineyards
A pleasant swimming pool is about 20 m from the building
Beautiful sunsets suggest a moment of serenity and pleasantness.
The house consists of a large living room, which leads to the kitchen-dining area
A laundry room and storage room are on the same floor.
Upstairs a beautiful and bright double bedroom which enjoys a splendid view of the valley to Florence.
Private bathroom with shower
Second bedroom also very bright has two single beds and a private bathroom
Possibility to add a cot for a baby at no additional cost.
The closest town is San Polo in Chianti where there are two well-stocked supermarkets selling fresh meat, a bank, a post office, a bar, a pharmacy and various general stores.
Just 16 km from the A1 motorway exit - South Florence

To reach it you have to go down a dirt and gravel road but it is a little piece of heaven in the tuscan countryside. Our host did not contact us until the day of but still met us to show us around even though we were late coming in. The whole property is gorgeous and old lavender and rosemary lines ever inch of it. Not to mention the fragrant jasmine growing up the side of the house. The beds were super comfortable, but no coffee, or shampoo or soap was provided.. a small town was close by so we were able to get what we needed.
The house itself is broken up into 3 parcels so even though it appears you will be secluded there were people around a lot of the time. We went to and from the city a lot so it wasnt much of a problem. They kept the property very neat and clean and well manicured. Also, they had several cats that loved to come inside and visit.
