I had one of the nicest breakfasts I have ever had anywhere, it was superb. The historic hotel was/is beautiful and it made for a stunning location. The location of it to the town centre is ideal and very well situated for a convenient stroll in to shops/pubs etc.
Only a small thing, the T.V. offered limited channel viewing and as one who enjoys watching the news last thing at night I did not watch it as the channel option was not to my taste. This however in no way spoilt my pleasure of staying in such a splendid room and I would certainly stay in that room again in future.

every thing was absolutely amazing from first walking into the reception. The lady at reception was extremely helpful and friendly the room was stunning however we felt it could benefit from a fridge as we stayed for 3 nights and we bought a bottle of wine which we couldn't keep chilled. The bar man Christian was absolutely amazing and a credit to the hotel, he made the couple of night we spent in the bar a very enjoyable experience and we would like you to pass on our comments to him.
The prices at the bar are very high and we would suggest you consider installing a draft soft drinks machine rather than paying 3 pound plus per bottle. We feel that this would encourage more guests to drink in the bar as we were the only 2 people in the bar each night we used it, which is a shame as Christian would certainly bring more paying guests in due to his personality.

Fantastic place/staff and up grade for free ,excellent staff, excellent location, all in all a very very good hotel to say ,nothing was to much trouble, would recommend to everyone Excellent

Breakfast was good.
The bed was too high to get on. Being under 5 foot I had to really jump to get on and when I had to use the toilet in the night it was dangerous. I walk with a stick so had to be very careful.The bed creaked every time you moved. The toilet when you flushed make a terrible noise so had to be careful in the night if you flushed the chain.
