Located in a middle-class neighbourhood near all important amenities such as public transportation, large shopping centre, restaurants, entertainment, etc. It is a bit away from where all foreign tourists seem to congregate, and so if you enjoy contact with the locals, their typical food and a taste of real Medellin, you will like it. I felt very safe and walked all around the area with no concerns. The building itself is low-key but clean. The suite is small but functional. The internet works well. It has a flat screen TV with Netflix and YouTube (never had time to use it0. A major bonus is the insuite-laundry. From the 8th floor, the view was beautiful. Karin, the manager, is quick to respond to any questions and eager to help if needed.

On the street side, you need to have a very high tolerance for noise, but there are suites facing the other side, with no view. The bathroom is very narrow, and you need to be somewhat of an acrobat to sit on the toilet bowl, with your knees against the wall. That was a bit awkward.

The location was ideal for my needs, very well communicated, it has a great view of the city west-side. The bed was comfortable. The initial apartment I was given was awful and had a headlight pointing to the windows all night but I asked and was offered a better apartment for the same price.

The building was very rusty, there was smell to marijuana everywhere and I had a neighbor downstairs who stayed up late in his balcony singing songs on the phone. The cleaning lady didn't come in a whole month and I had to do the cleaning myself. There was a cleaning service paid in the charges but I was told that that was for the cleaning before I arrived. There was often people talking on the building door every time I got there, apparently there are many apartments with many refugees living in them. They often put music loud even late at night.
