As first-time visitors, we found Altenmarkt im Pongau to be a fantastic strategic base. The apartment offered very good value for money and was perfect for our family. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the dishes and utensils we needed, and with a supermarket located close by, we could easily prepare breakfast and dinner at home. Having two showers was a huge life-saver when everyone needed to get ready at the same time—especially traveling with a teenage daughter :) The location is incredibly convenient for car travelers, giving quick access to the highway, so driving around to see the sights was effortless.

Everything was great, but future travelers should keep a few practical things in mind. This is a self-catering holiday apartment, so you need to bring or buy your own essentials like shower gel, shampoo, salt, and cooking oil, coffee. Especially if you are arriving late in the evening, I highly recommend stopping by a supermarket beforehand, as shops close early here. Also, having a car is recommended to fully enjoy the surrounding region.

Sauber, ordentlich und praktisch.

Es fehlte an einigen Kleinigkeiten, wie beispielsweise Toilettenpapier und Müllbeutel. In der Infomappe hätten wir uns Informationen zur Umgebung gewünscht. Die in der Mappe versprochenen Kaffeekapseln und eine süße Kleinigkeit haben wir nicht entdeckt. Als Gast freut man sich auch über einige Prospekte zu Ausflugszielen in der Umgebung. Der Hinweis über Bauarbeiten im Haus erreichte uns erst am zweiten Abend.
