About this house rental
Your own private resort in the Noosa hinterland — 6 acres, sleeps 16, fifteen minutes to Hastings Street.
Illowra is a 700m² residence set on six private, gently landscaped acres at Doonan, surrounded by bushland and manicured gardens. There are no visible neighbours and no road noise, the only sounds are the birds and wildlife that share the property with you.
It's the closest thing to renting a private resort for your family and friends: a fifteen-metre saltwater pool and heated spa, an enormous undercover entertaining area with its own outdoor kitchen, BBQ and wood-fired pizza oven, and enough space inside that twenty people never feel on top of each other.
The property is beautiful enough to have hosted weddings and appeared as a backdrop for television commercials — but it's designed, first and last, for a long, unhurried holiday with the people you like most.
And you're still only fifteen minutes from Hastings Street, and ten from Gympie Terrace in Noosaville.
The house
Seven bedrooms - (3 king beds + 5 queen beds) and three bathrooms plus a separate powder room. Two generous living areas, one informal and one formal, a separate dining room, and a soundproofed media room that has saved more than one family holiday. The designer kitchen is fully equipped for cooking properly, not just reheating.
Sleeps 16 in beds.with additional bedding for up to 20 available on request
The undercover entertaining area is the heart of the place - a full outdoor kitchen, BBQ and wood-fired pizza oven, with several separate lounge and dining zones so you can eat, read and swim without anyone having to negotiate. It all looks out over the pool, which is fenced and gated, and the spa, which is heated.

- Free WiFi and Netflix, four flat-screen TVs
- Ceiling fans throughout; air conditioning in the master bedroom. The hinterland runs noticeably cooler than the coast
- Large two-way gas fire in the living area for winter
- Undercover carport parking for two vehicles, plus generous additional parking on the property
- Fifteen minutes to Hastings Street, ten to Gympie Terrace, 25 minutes to Sunshine Coast Airport, 10 minutes to Eumundi Markets
- The garage and workshop are locked and not available for guest use
Dogs
We're happy to welcome dogs by prior arrangement — just let us know when you book. We ask that they stay off the beds and out of carpeted rooms. The pool and garden area is fenced; the wider property isn't, though the surrounding bush acts as a natural boundary.

The location of this property is ideal to escape from hustle and bustle of Noosa (but 15 minutes close enough to engage if you wished too) Eumundi only 10 mins too and Doonan hotel great for casual dining 5 mins away.Our family of 16 enjoyed the outdoor dining area and made good use of the BBQ and outdoor tables facilitating seating for us all in long dine format.The pool is large and great for groups albeit the dark charcoal tiles surrounding the pool are very hot and thongs in summer a must to access the areaBedrooms were adequate but did diminish in quality at far end of house where only one bathroom and one toilet was in close proximity to accommodate 4-5 bedrooms (ensuite at opposite end of house for main very large bedroom ) and dual access ensuite other bedroom that same end ). The grounds are well maintained and nice to have herb garden access for cooking given we foodies . Would have been handy to have an empty pantry or similar to place dry cooking ingredients in close to cooktop/cooking area . Plenty of refrigerator space , big outdoor esky for drinks - sort your own ice but lasted for days.Floorboards inside are lifting/undulating in places - wet weather or tree roots not sure - we put items down to flag trip hazard floor areas particularly having 80 year old parents with us . Overall a lovely property but needs a bit of TLC maintenance to lift & modernise some interior areas including some of the soft furnishings incl old lounge room couch .

This place was amazing, it had everything you could ever need and more. Mellisa as a host was fantastic and replied to all questions that I had. Would highly recommend this for large groups of friends and family!
