About this country house rental
The farmhouse Het Vosgen has a long history, it is mentioned for the first time in 1606.
Over the centuries, Het Vosgen has been rebuilt and adapted to the use of that time. For the last 60 years, the farm has been the domain of farmer Hemmo Hemmes.
His son Dirk now has his gardener business in the yard and in the secret annex. The entire front house was renovated in 2016 and furnished as a holiday home. There is central heating and that makes it a pleasant place to live even in the winter. Of course there is WiFi throughout the house.
The house is completely non-smoking.
You enter the Hall / Utility Room. Here is a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is also a toilet here.
The kitchen is large and fully equipped. Refrigerator, freezer, combi oven / microwave, 5 burner gas hob, extractor hood and dishwasher. Coffee maker (and Senseo) and kettle are also available.
The living room is spacious, light and cozy. There is a large smart TV with satellite channels (Canal Digital) and Netflix is available for free. There is real art on the walls! There are 3 comfortable armchairs and a 3-seater sofa.
Through a small hall you enter Bedroom 1. This is spacious and light with a double bed (possibly divisible).
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. Ideal as a children's bedroom. The beds can be put together on request and made up as a double bed.
The bathroom is heated, with sink, walk-in shower and toilet. Towels are available.
On the kitchen side is a terrace where you can sit outside. In the greenhouse is De Serre where you can sit in bad weather.
There are garden chairs and tables and there is a barbecue. There is a large garden in front of the holiday home.
You can park in the yard at specially designed parking places.
On "Het Kroffie", part of the yard, there is a vegetable garden, fruit trees and berry bushes. Tomatoes are grown in the greenhouse. In season you, as a guest, can enjoy tomatoes, grapes, courgettes, berries, green beans and whatever else happens to be there. First ask Dirk!
Gardener company Dirk Hemmes is also on the site. Plants are also grown in the greenhouse for the gardener business. Don't be scared! You don't notice it.

Gretha does the administration together with Henk.
Dirk, the family's gardener, lives in the back of the farm and is usually available for questions and troubleshooting.
Henrie, the handyman, is the man when it comes to jobs and small repairs.

Excellent & well equipped accommodation and location for our cycling trips. Very peaceful given it's rural situation. Amazing to watch a Heron walk along the ditch, 4m from the window!! Thank you Dirk

Das Ferienhaus war top eingerichtet....in der Küche fehlte es an nichts, Betten waren neu, Bettwäsche und Handtücher top und ansonsten sehr sauber.
Ideal für einen Urlaub zum Abschalten vom Alltag....leider fehlte in der Umgebung eine Wiese auf der man morgens den Hund laufen lassen konnte.
Als Ausgangspunkt für viele Radtouren quer durch Nordholland ideal gelegen. Mit dem Auto ist man zB zügig in Alkmaar ( Käsemarkt) oder an der Bahn nach Amsterdam---50 min und halbstündiger Zugverkehr--- zum Superpreis am Wochenende----sprechen für sich.
Das Haus liegt an einer Straße auf der jetzt zur Erntezeit der Blumenzwiebeln viele Traktoren zw.7h und 18h fahren.
Im Frühjahr blühen drum herum Tulpen, Narzissen usw., jetzt erblühen in der Gegend Calla und Lilien....ein Eldorado für Blumenliebhaber.

Zeer complete vakantiewoning van alle gemakken voorzien. Ruime keuken/eetkamer met alle benodigde apparatuur. Twee slaapkamers met heerlijke bedden en voldoende zitgelegenheid in de woonkamer.
De woning ligt aan een doorgaande weg, maar in een rustige woonomgeving.
We zijn zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen bij aankomst de sleutel en een korte rondleiding. De privacy wordt volledig gewaarborgd.
Wij hebben er een weekend doorgebracht, maar ook voor langer verblijf is deze accomodatie zeker een aanrader. In de buurt van duinen en strand. Fietsverhuur in de directe omgeving en leuke plaatsen om te bezoeken, zoals Schagen en Alkmaar.
Voor herhaling vatbaar.
