    The Lodge was built in the 1880s and everything was restored to honour those times. Peter was a fantastic host, very down to earth and entertaining. We stayed in the family accommodation which was 2 separate bedroom buildings with the bathroom in between. The sheep lived in the paddock that separated us from the Lodge and it was so much fun feeding them, and even more fun watching other guests do it! Even the resident chook (or at least the most human tolerant of them) came and hung out on our deck with us for ages, watching the rain with us whilst we sipped wine. There was even fresh baked bread for breakfast, too fresh to ruin in the toaster! Thank you Peter for a wonderfully enjoyable stay, it was the last but our best night in NZ in the stunning big sky country of Central Otago. Highly recommend for an unforgettable stay, host, farm and animal experience, Kiwi style!
