Mauro, our host, was incredibly hospitable and helpful. He met us at check-in and explained how everything worked. It was the little thoughtful touches that really made a difference, such as:
* Water and soda stocked in the refrigerator to get us started
* Two umbrellas for the rainy day we had during our stay
* Printed recommendations and suggestions since I don’t use WhatsApp, which is normally how he shares information
There was no on-site parking, but this was never an issue for us. We found parking directly in front of the building every time we needed it. If you’re visiting Puglia, we definitely recommend renting a car.
The location was ideal — far enough from Old Town to avoid heavy crowds, yet still within walking distance of restaurants, cafés, and a small market.
We only used the kitchen for drinks and fruit, but it was well-stocked enough to prepare a simple meal if needed.
The washer was also much appreciated. There was no dryer, which we expected since that’s common in Europe. We’re from California, where dryers are standard, so it just took a little adjustment.
Now for the best part: the ocean-view terrace. It was absolutely spectacular. We loved starting our mornings outside with coffee and leven spent some afternoons relaxing there while waiting for dinner time. We’re from California, so beautiful beaches aren’t unusual for us, but the water here was such an unreal turquoise blue that it almost didn’t look real.
We especially enjoyed walking along the coastline (definitely bring sturdy shoes!). You can still see the foundations of ancient structures submerged along the shore. We later looked it up and learned these sea walls and ruins date back as far as the 5th century BC, representing layers of Messapian, Roman, and medieval history directly immersed in the Adriatic Sea. Truly amazing.
That view alone would be enough to make us come back.
The washer is a front loader, and like many front-loading machines, it had a slight mildew smell. I wiped down the rubber seal, left the door cracked open during our stay, and our clothes smelled perfectly fine afterward.
The apartment could have been a little cleaner in my opinion — not bad by any means, but I’m admittedly picky when it comes to bathroom cleanliness. I also understand that coastal humidity can make it harder to keep everything spotless.
This certainly would not stop me from staying there again.
The bed was decent, though not the most comfortable mattress we’ve slept on.

L’emplacement est magnifique. L’accueil fut très facile. La vue sur la mer correspond aux photos. L’appartement est très propre et assez grand pour 4 personnes. Quartier sécuritaire à 15 minutes de marche de la vieille ville. Vraiment très bien.
