Much room for improvement!
The property has the potential to be very good. The rooms were a good size. Location was good, but a fair walk to the beach. We got moved to the apartment next door on the day after arriving, because of several issues, and yet a couple of days later another family got moved into the apartment we'd moved from because of issues with their apartment, but the issues hadn't been resolved. These people had stayed previously and said it had been good before the current property manager started. We liked Kilkee, especially the cliff walk.
I missed the bit about paying a security deposit when I made the booking, so that was a shock (200Euro!). It was difficult to get a response from the property manager to arrange key collection, and we were almost at the property before we got confirmation of the apartment number and that it would be open, with the keys left in the fruit bowl on the kitchen table. The apartment was cold when we arrived, but there were no instructions on how to operate the heating or hot water. There were several other issues, including a bedroom window with a broken bottom hinge, which meant that it had a major draught, especially considering that we were there during stormy weather. We had a 3 month old baby, so I messaged the property manager to report the issues and requested another apartment. She replied with basic information about operating the heating and that was the only reply we had until the middle of the next day when she messaged that the apartment next door was available. I had considered staying somewhere else for the night, but after I managed to get the water heating and some of the storage heaters, my wife and step daughter persuaded me that we'd stay. When we went out the next day, I couldn't lock the door. Luckily a cleaner was passing and she got us replacement keys. (This delay made us late to meet up with friends at the time we had arranged). The replacement apartment was much better, but during our first night in it we were kept awake through the night due to a loud banging during very strong winds. We found out the next day that it was a wooden gate which had been slamming against the post on the external wall of our apartment. The gate had been badly damaged, but someone had secured it open with a stone or concrete block to stop it banging.

Very basic, rustic place.
The location was great. It provided what we needed.
The water heater never worked and most of our showers were ice cold even following the boosting instructions. You have to ask for towels ahead of time so make sure you read the instructions before. The key was really hard to open. We had to buy washing soap and dishwasher soap. The garbage bin didn’t have a key but a combo and was far away. Very old mattresses. Bathroom tile was very covered in mildew.

We had a lovely time, the apartments were only a short walk from the beach
The location, the layout, the tiled flooring and being next door to the family
The oven in one of the apartments did not work throughout our stay which was most inconvenient and restricted the options for self catering thus adding to the overall cost. There was a burst water main resulting in brown tap water which we were advised not to drink particularly with young children. I accept that the water issue was out of your control however I believe there should have been an offer of bottled water for drinking purposes. The dishes and cutlery were placed in the cabinets wet therefore giving off a funky smell and left us concerned about other cleaning shortcuts.

Great place for a holiday
Great value, lovely apartment, close to the beach

It was only adequate, the whole place needs a fresh coat of paint and all of the above.
It was self catering.
The whole apartment needs a refurb. The cooker, kettle, toaster and most of the crockery needs to be replaced. The shower in the ensuite has mold in the bottom of the shower tray. This is not the fault of whoever cleans it, it needs to be refitted.

Fantastic Family Stay in Beautiful Kilkee!
We had a wonderful family holiday at this lovely apartment — it truly had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The kitchen was very well equipped, which made cooking meals so easy, and the bedrooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The living room was cozy and welcoming, with a great set of information files for guests that were really helpful during our stay. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the seaside, which made beach outings and scenic walks so convenient. The holiday home manager was also very friendly and helpful, providing all the information we needed and making sure everything went smoothly. We just booked again with Trident and we’ll be back — it’s a great service and Kilkee is such a beautiful region, with absolutely stunning cliff walks and peaceful coastal scenery. Highly recommended for a relaxing and comfortable family getaway !

Superb
The location was good, close to centre of Town and the beach.
A clothes airer would have been useful as there was no where to hang wet clothes. It did have a tumble drier but that isn't suitable for wetsuits.

Excellent stay in Kilkee at a great holiday accommodation
Location was perfect, 2 minutes to beach and great location to tour west Clare, Loop head, Doonbeg, Kilrush and more. Property was very spacious, very comfortable furnishings and cooking facilities were excellent. Cleanliness was excellent and management were very helpful with any requests.
Nothing comes to mind
