For a club room it was very small compared to other Village Hotels I have stayed in. Not much room for luggage etc. Looks like this hotel has gone more for a higher number of small rooms rather than a smaller number of bigger rooms for Club access. Bed was comfortable. Braekfast whilst it has a good variety of options, more effort is needed on keeping the food hot as we arrived on both mornings around 8am and the food was warm at most.
Check in is all digital which is difficult for older people especially when the system stalls and doesnt respond. There were 2 staff helping people who if behind a desk could have made check in faster and much smoother than trying to work through various screens.
Restaurant is very busy in the evenings and you can only order at one end of the bar as limited staff on duty. Queue time as long and I gave up on the Friday night after 15 mins as only one person had been fully served. Some thought and work is needed there.

Decor
The fact that we had specifically searched for and booked a hotel with pool- but when we got there, we were told that pool wasn’t in operation - which defeated the whole point. Was told to contact booking.com to get some kind of refund - how does this work? A bit disappointing that valentines weekend and pool & hot tub not working

Pool, fun bar, nice decor, novelty of glass on bathroom that could be clear or frosted.
Quite far from airport where I travelled from

Great location for what we wanted
On cleaning our room, the staff never cleaned the cups etc, and did not replace the tea & coffee etc, even though we had used them, we had to find someone to ask for more, that was disappointing
4.0 / 10.0
Overall the vibe is nice, although the sound of the gym above is jarring when you’re checking in and hear barbells dropping above
The shower head was mouldy.
The breakfast was the biggest scam and disappointment. The eggs were devoid of much colour they looked almost gray and they were so rubbery in texture it was inedible. The sausage was unbelievably oily. I had to stick with toast, beans and hash browns, which were still subpar and thus a rip off for even £12.50, which was the early discount! I can’t imagine paying £17.50 and being served with that.
Overall not worth the price for the quality.

the bed was comfortable
the swimming pool was fun nice facilities such as jacuzzi
breakfast was fine
you get free parking when booking a club room
staff were friendly and helpful to a point
lots of little things that went wrong added up to not as enjoyable as it could of been
such as having to chase things up
we checked in and were told we had to pay for parking despite booking a club room it was only when we read on the leaflet in the room that we realised we did not need to pay for parking and went to reception and they agreed and took it off our bill
it said a village sweet treat was included and again it was no where to be seen so we had to chase it up it turned out when they enquired about this to the relevant team they had run out of the jelly babies they would of normally given so the staff brought us chocolate coin each from Starbucks which i actually preferd so it did turn into a positive but again having to chase these things up is not great
one of our party was gluten intolerant we arrived at dinner time so enquired at the Restaurant it turned out they had nothing to offer so we went out to eat, we went back to the bar and grill for drinks after dinner they only had one cider on tap so very limited choice so we decided to go back to rooms instead, same with breakfast the gluten intolerant choice was different bread that was it, and the bread tasted awful. so food and drink was severely lacking at both dinner and breakfast not impressed.
i had booked 2 people for the club room but there was only one towel for showering so we asked on way down to pool to have another towel the staff said yes but when we went back to our room an hour and a bit later for shower after the gym and swim there was still not towel so had to again go and chase up at reception for the towel and they said yes sorry we have been a bit busy.
the shower drenches the floor even with floor towel down the shower itself needed descaling, half the water shoots did not work so not great shower
blind was electric controls to put up and down and ours was broken in down position so room was always dark with out light on
chair in room had brown staining on
wont be back

I really liked the funky style and the available facilities. The bed was large and very comfy. Great shower. Rooms are quite well isolated so not too noisy. Free parking on the weekend.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Modernism of decor.
Updated tech like chargers and shower simplicity.
Mix of pillow firmness.
Large Tv.
The showers you can have both on. One is colder and one is BOILING. Causes flooding in the bathroom but you can only have the water just right that way.
No telephone in property, only sends you to a ai chat bot (did not help) had to ring the property from Google.

Location , like the brand I stayed for 6 months in the one I Prestwich in the eighties
The bar was not open in fact all catering facilities were unavailable to guests. I had driven down to Bristol to see my daughter for Christmas. I understand that I was contacted with a message left on answer machine I did not see this. And anyway I should have been told when I was booking

Bed was comfortable
I was terribly disappointed when we arrived and was told that the pool and sauna was not working. I had booked this hotel in particular for this pool.
I was prepared to cancel and rebook with the Hilton ( which had a pool) but was told that I would not get a refund.
I explained that the ONLY reason I booked that hotel was for the pool but that didn’t make any difference.
I was offered a free breakfast for one morning for two people and a £5 refund per day for no pool.
I accepted because I could see that that was the only compensation offered.
But I would have preferred to cancel and move to a different hotel with a pool.
I feel like I have been short changed because if I had booked a hotel without a pool, it would have been much much cheaper.

clean room with all basic and modern facilities for overnight stay. Helpful staff member on reception. Lovely quiet coffee shop with good snacks. Efficient lifts, shower and check in check out procedures. Concord function room very well serviced by kitchen and waiting staff with good food menu for an event I attended.
Lumpy pillows in otherwise comfy bed. Lack of leaflet to explain tiny symbols for operating all devices in room which were hard to see and difficult to interpret - air con, heating, window blind etc.
Rowdy, noisy bar and dining area with food menu not conducive to healthy eating or attracting quieter customers. Lack of quiet space to sit down for drink and conversation.

Staff were friendly
Room wasn't the cleanest there were multiple stains on the carpet and sink. Lots of mold in the window frame and behind the detachable shower head. Wasted money laying for the gym as it was so busy I couldn't get a proper workout session in and was often in a queue of 3 or 4 people waiting for the piece of equipment I needed to use. Some dodgy wiring in the room with the main lights as they keep flickering and the Aircon unit kept making a pretty loud noise even when switched off

Good facilities nice location
When asking for a twin single beds set up instead of a double staff said that wasn’t a possibility, later on to find out bed could be separated into two. When asking for an extra set of bedding staff took 5 hours to deliver due to going back down stairs and asking for the 3rd time without also delivering an extra duvet for us.

The location was great for all the activities we had planned in the Bristol area, and the hotel staff were genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet also offered a nice mix of hot dishes and a variety of continental options. Overall, great location and friendly and supportive staff but the room conditions and breakfast atmosphere really undermined the experience.
However, the stay itself was far from comfortable. The twin room was extremely small for two persons with no proper window - only one in the bathroom - and there were only four hangers in the corner and no cupboards at all. The tiny table and the single power socket made things even more inconvenient. The bathroom window was leaky and because it wasn’t airtight, the entire room felt damp. To top it off, there was no toilet brush provided.
The biggest disappointment came at breakfast: the cleaning staff rolled their cleaning trolley around the tables during (!) breakfast hours. It was noisy, distracting, and completely destroyed any sense of a calm morning. Absolutely not acceptable.

Very clean and new
Needed for bathroom wall to be fully private. Also mattress topper was too low and detached from top of bed so lower sheet was too low too.

Bed was comfortable, with 4 pillows.
Bathroom was good, with clearly marked toiletries, in big black words on a white background - very useful with ageing eyesight! Having hair conditioner was a bonus.
Food in the bar was good.
Coffee and pastries from Starbucks in the morning were great.
No decaff coffee in the room, or at Reception, sadly. I managed to get some from the bar as they were setting up for breakfast.
There were no instructions (that I could find) on how to make the bathroom windows opaque … luckily, a younger member of the family figured it out for us!

The room and en suite were nice, the bar area is nice
The prices in the bar, and the fact that the gym was not open in the evening for guests. I arrived in the evening, to work locally the next day, only to be told the gym was closed. I could see people training in it. Why only members not guests in the evening?

Uncomfortable bed
Woke up with terrible back pain as mattress was rock hard staying for 3 nights so asked for a mattress topper or duvet to double up and see if that would help but reception said they would help but no one came to the room.
No one informed us breakfast stops at 9am on week days and not mentioned in the room so went down to breakfast on Monday morning to be sadly told sorry it’s finished and we had missed it.

the routine of staying there
the breakfast starts 30 mun too late for some working early. 8 is a bit late. announcing the evening before and having access to when actually all is already ready would be great.
no more messed up rooms and this one clean

We had a party to go to, so the location of this hotel was perfect for our stay. The overall experience was as we expected; this was a good, clean hotel.
The room was a little on the small side, but it wouldn't put me off if I needed to go again.

Staff were good helpful and polite.
Breakfast buffet was disappointing, cheap ingredients and definitely wasn't worth it. Room was very basic and not much privacy in the toilet area.

Rooms too small, not much enough space to keep luggage and off and on annoying noise from the AC

Had to pay extra to use the pool, bar was noisy, gym was noisy in the morning
8.0 / 10.0
The hotel and its amenities were great, food was lovely and I love how modern the hotel was. The only downfall was the size of the room; it had everything we needed but was quite small and the shower and toilet are separate from the bed area by a glass panel- not much privacy. All in all though, we had a lovely stay.
The size of the room
6.0 / 10.0
Plenty of parking which was free of charge during the weekend.
Decent room with very big bed.
The bathroom design with the foggy glass isn’t ideal, the modern touch is nice but it doesn’t serve its purpose for privacy. The bathroom door glass stays clear so if someone walks past the door they can see you and there is zero soundproofing. Not great for new couples.
I asked for a new hand towel at reception and it was left on the floor outside our room’s door. Not very hygienic.
The room was smaller than the average hotel room.
