About this house rental
My cottage is situated in a wonderful location in the Apuseni Mountains, in a quiet atmosphere, with no daily stress ... We are waiting for you to come here, and to discover the pure water, the wild area, beautiful landscapes...The cottage has various facilities that you can relax by cooking in the open air, stand by the beach, admiring the wild nature, drink a couple of milk from my cows...Also we can be organized hiking on the mountain, we can organized excursions to various tourist attractions.

We had a really enjoyable stay. The whole family were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. We had meals of delicious traditional food (and drink) made for us. Milk from the cows for breakfast. The kitchen (with a cooker) being in the garden might be tricky in bad weather but was no problem for us.
The track to the house was long and tricky to drive but Peter and family were happy to take us up and down in their 4x4.
The area is quiet and beautiful with lots of great walking. Many bird species could be seen around the house, including shrikes, nutcracker, eagles and corncrake. The village of Lupsa itself has a couple of little general stores (and bar) and a restaurant.
When we had a slight problem with the water, it was sorted quickly.
If it's luxury you want this may not be for you, but if you want a genuine rural Romanian experience, hosted by a lovely family this is for you.
